Mark Erikson is a senior engineer at Replay.io, one of the Redux maintainers, a kind of a persona in the frontend Twitter and generally an amazing tech thought leader I enjoy following on Twitter. I sat down to talk with him about learning, managing communities, doing open source, and sharing knowledge.

Sibelius Seraphini is an internet-famous Brazilian entrepreneur, software engineer, and entrepreneur. Recently he co-founded the fintech startup Woovi and is operating the whole startup remotely. We set down to discuss how he runs his startup remotely and how he helps developers around the globe.

Cheng Lou was a former part of the React and ReScript teams and is the author of popular OSS projects like React Motion. In 2016, he gave a talk that significantly changed my career titled “On the Spectrum of Abstraction” in it he discusses the trade-offs and meaning of abstractions in code and even more in general how to find source code entropy. As the talk is very dense, I invited Cheng to the podcast to talk about the ideas in the talk at length.

Benjamin Gruenbaum is a core collaborator on Node.js, worked in some very successful startups over the years and is generally one of the smartest developers I met in Tel Aviv. Gil Tayar is the most experienced dev I know personally. Gil has been a software engineer for 35 years, an architect, and a teacher and has been building for the web since ‘98. Recently Gil submitted a proposal to bring types into JavaScript so developers would not need an extra build step. In this episode, we’ll discuss how someone can propose changes to a programming language and why he submitted his proposal.
