We discuss "our" one hit wonders- the one and only song by an artist that we each individually really like. (It's a bit of a back-handed compliment but we do like these songs.) These songs might or might not match up with the traditional definition where a single song is popular. At the end of the episode we also get into a discussion of cover songs in general and talk a little about Star Wars music themes.

Mark Ericsson is the current lead singer and guitarist of The Pear Republic and The Trees will Know. He was previously in the band Netzer. We start out talking about Netzer, recording The Pear Republic and then talk about The Trees will Know, a worship/folk project that is a change of pace from our previous hard rock projects.

Jonathan Lane is the praise and worship leader at Sha'arey Tzion (Gates  of Zion) Messianic Synagogue. He has a released an EP called Come my  Beloved. Afterwards I include some moments from my touring days.

Christian Montoya and Abyars Uckun are two founders of Echad Records. Their first release will be a free to download Messianic music compilation. We also talk about their musical careers.

Dorothy Gitelman is the editor of Achot, the UMJC Women's magazine and  helps run the children's ministry worship for Simchat Yisrael in  Messianic Congregation in New Haven, CT. The second of the interview is a  discussion on how to set up a podcast. It's slightly outdated as technology has changed for releasing episodes. I now use Anchor.fm for releasing podcasts.

My father is Rabbi Barney Kasdan, the founder and rabbi of Kehilat  Ariel Messianic Synagogue in San Diego. He  is also the author of “Matthew Presents Yeshua, King Messiah: A  Messianic Commentary” as well as the popular books “God's Appointed  Times” and “God's Appointed Customs.” He  was recently in the film Promised Land: Israel through the Eyes of  Surfers. This is a surfing documentary and is not the feature film  called Promised Land that stars Matt Damon.
