NES Programming #72 - Derek from Gradual Games

NES Programming #72 - Derek from Gradual Games

In this episode I had some great discussions with Derek from Gradual Games, programmer of the NES homebrews Nomolos, The Legends of Owlia, and the yet-to-be-released Trophy.  This was a super-fun discussion and I think we probably could have talked all night if anybody would have listened for even longer! We talked about his background getting into programming, how he writes games, ggsound, ggvm, and so much more.

You can find Gradual Games at: http://www.gradualgames.com

You can find Derek on Twitter, Discord, NintendoAge, NesDev, and Facebook: @gradualgames

Also, if you haven't already, you should listen to Beau and Kevin's interview with Derek about The Legends of Owlia from this episode of the NES Assembly Line Podcast:

In this episode I spoke to Nathan from Bite the Chili Productions, programmer of NES homebrew Robo Ninja Climb, and Anguna, which is available on multiple platforms.  It was a really really fun chat where we talked about how he got interested in programming, NES homebrew, his journey from GBA programming, and more.
