Spectral accuses Lily of being connected to the Pirate.  The Chief of the Paris police is breathing down their necks.  Legato is missing.  Francois is growing more and more suspicious of Yvonne and Staccato as they vanquish the jazz-infused pirate crew with their classical music.   Story by M. The Pirate and his crew arrive at Spectral's party in swashbuckler fashion.  The crew thinks they're there to collect as much booty from the rich, Parisian bankers but Yvonne and Jack suspect he's looking for something far more devious than gold.  

Jack, Yvonne, Françoise, Legato and Staccato head out to Spectral's party.  As they inconspicuously rub elbows with the elite of Paris, looking for clues to getting closer to The Rites of Spring as well as solving Mr. Rennes murder, the team will meet some very surprising party crashers.

Yvonne and Jack make a grizzly discovery as to the whereabouts of Madame Giblen.  Could it be the work of D'Vok?  The Pirate?  A hired gun from the bankers high society?  Clearly in need of back up, Jack and Yvonne attempt to go through the echo chamber.  It may be the last thing they ever do. As Yvonne attempts to lure the team's attacker away from the apartment, she and Pizz find that they have more to worry about than haunted windows.  An urgent message comes directly from the Orchestra in the form of screaming statues in the local cathedral.  It's a warning to Yvonne that her worst nightmare might come true.

Yvonne and Pizz return to the scene of the crime only to discover that they're not alone in Mr. Rennes house.  

Yvonne, Jack and the team head out into a mystical reality of Paris to find out who has murdered the financial backer to the premiere of "The Rites of Spring."  As they split up to cover more territory, Yvonne and Pizz find Mr. Rennes house and decide to investigate the scene of the crime.  It would seem, unfortunately, a stranger has the same idea. Madame Giblen explains how the situation has grown more complicated since Yvonne and Jack were originally given their assignment.  The team learns how Parisians secretly leap from place to place by means of magical manipulation.  Jack and Yvonne love their apartment but things become awkward when they have to sort out sleeping arrangements. Yvonne attends the meeting called by the Maestro.  While Staccato hopes that the unusual request for visit means there is a promotion in Yvonne's future, the Agent and her usual friends discover the Maestro has much bigger plans.  Those plans arrive in the form in the smoldering good looks of Yvonne's new field partner, Jack. Yvonne arrives back at the Orchestra to turn in the original "My Immortal Beloved."  She's visited by the elusive, Maestro who requests a formal meeting to talk.  Staccato, her personal assistant thinks the Maestro wants to offer Yvonne a big promotion.  Meanwhile, Legato, Yvonne's cat has simpler plans; like curl up under the covers and nap with his long lost human.  Tensions are high when Legato realizes he can't save his mistress from the dreaded shower and Staccato realizes that Yvonne would prefer to remain a field agent rather than take a high profile desk job.
