Chee Ming Loh is a world traveler, international businessman, and collaborative creator who currently works at a major trading company in Nagoya, Japan. Born and raised in Malaysia, Chee Ming spent his twenties hopping around Southeast Asia before arriving at his current company. Mr. Yuezhong Duan is founder of The Duan Press Co., a publisher located in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Mr. Duan came to Japan from China in 1991, and forayed into media while completing his PhD. Focusing on Sino-Japanese relations, The Duan Press has put out over 400 books to date, and also holds speech contests and a Chinese language circle to help improve understanding between the two nations. He is currently fundraising for supplies to fight against the coronavirus.

Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Hyejin Lee came to Japan in 2003 and went on to complete her PhD in sociology at Tokyo's Hitotsubashi University. An expert in Japanese and Korean immigration policy, Lee found work at the Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE), where she currently serves as a senior program officer. Alongside her work at JCIE, she has published numerous works and also supports migrant laborers as a volunteer. In this episode, we look at changes and differences in Japanese and Korean immigration policy overtime, and discuss ways in which Japan can continue to internationalize moving forward.

He came to Japan in the early 1980's as a graduate student and moved into management consulting while finishing his doctorate at Kyoto University. In 2002, he assisted in the founding of Seijoh University, located in Aichi prefecture's Tokai City, and is currently focusing on internalization in addition to his responsibilities as the Head of the Faculty of Business Administration. Dr. Soo-Im Lee is a professor in the faculty of Business Administration at Ryukoku University. Born and raised as a third generation Zainichi Korean, she became the first woman to obtain Japanese citizenship individually in the early 2000s, opening the door for many others who have since followed her footsteps. In this episode, we discuss her experiences fighting systemic discrimination within Japanese society and her outlook on the coming "Era of Immigration" in Japan.
