Ken, also a Certified Public Accountant, also worked for PwC, in their Advisory group, consulting to the top 20 banks and mortgage lenders in the US.  Alan Qureshi As a Managing Partner, Al brings over 20 years of experience in the mortgage and capital markets to Blue Water’s senior management team. Al is responsible for overseeing product development, day to day operations and informing strategic thought.  Immediately prior to joining Blue Water, Alan “Al” Qureshi was the President of Incenter Portfolio Advisors. Matt Maurer Senior Director for MountainView Financial Solutions, a SitusAMC company Matt Maurer is responsible for providing residential mortgage servicing rights and whole loan sales advice, portfolio valuation, finance facility consulting, and risk management services. Mr. Maurer, prior to moving over to his current role in 2010, was a MSR valuation analyst at MountainView. Before joining MountainView in 2008, Matt worked at Clayton Fixed Income Services and Matrix Asset Management. The Art of Negotiation with Chris Voss
In this episode of the Million Dollar Mortgage Experience, Jon Maddux sits down with legendary negotiator, Chris Voss.  Chris has been featured in TIME, Business Insider, Fortune, CNN, ABC news, and many others. Chris Voss is prominently known for taking his field-tested skills as the FBI’s former lead international kidnapping negotiator and putting them in his book Never Split The Difference.  Jon talks to Chris about how to find out if you’re the favorite or the fool, how to bond with the person you’re negotiating with, why Orpah is one of the best negotiators of all time and much more. Chris Voss Bio Prior to 2008, Chris was the lead international kidnapping negotiator for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as the FBI’s hostage negotiation representative for the National Security Council’s Hostage Working Group. During his government career, he also represented the U.S. Government at two (2) international conferences sponsored by the G-8 as an expert in kidnapping. Prior to becoming the FBI lead international kidnapping negotiator, Christopher served as the lead Crisis Negotiator for the New York City Division of the FBI. Christopher was a member of the New York City Joint Terrorist Task Force for 14 years.  He was the case agent on such cases as TERRSTOP (the Blind Sheikh Case – Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman), the TWA Flight 800 catastrophe and negotiated the surrender of the first hostage taker to give up in the Chase Manhattan bank robbery hostage-taking. During Chris’s 24 year tenure in the Bureau, he was trained in the art of negotiation by not only the FBI but Scotland Yard and Harvard Law School. He is also a recipient of the Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement and the FBI Agents Association Award for Distinguished and Exemplary Service. Chris has taught business negotiation in the MBA program as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.  He has taught business negotiation at Harvard University, guest lectured at The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Laws of Negotiation Gravity with Isaac R. Betancourt

Guest Biography Isaac R. Betancourt joined the Black Swan Group, where he works as a success coach and a trainer, in January 2019. With a heart for serving others, Isaac is driven by getting to know clients and building relationships with them. Isaac grew up in Puerto Rico and graduated from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, earning a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and literature. One day, after driving around the entire island of Puerto Rico in seven-and-a-half hours, Isaac decided he wanted to see more of the world and enlisted in the military. He joined the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and is a veteran of the Gulf War. After four years of military service, Isaac became a police officer in Arlington County, Virginia, where he worked for nearly 23 years. There, he served as a hostage negotiator and was also one of the first responders to assist during the Pentagon attack on 9/11. In 2006, Isaac took a position as a crisis negotiation instructor at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy. During his time there, Isaac trained over 800 first responders and dispatchers, including officers from the Pentagon, the CIA, and the FBI. Although not an FBI agent himself, Isaac was given the special honor of attending the FBI School of Hostage Negotiation. Isaac has demonstrated himself to be an experienced trainer who is always striving to learn more. Managing Million Dollar Teams With Negotiation Strategies

In 1997, he took his passion for interpersonal communications to the next level, becoming a hostage negotiator. Once he became a supervisor, his passion transitioned from “doing” to teaching the concepts to others. As a member of the Black Swan Group, he is a negotiation trainer and personal coach. Derek has trained throughout the US and around the world, instructing business organizations on how to apply hostage negotiation practices and principles to their world. Derek presents seminars and in-house training programs in a variety of environments.
