Over the years Naval Ravikant has tweeted over 23,000 times sharing insight into wealth acquisition, happiness, and entrepreneurship.  However, since tweets have such a short lifespan, a lot of people miss this invaluable insight due to the nature of Twitter.

Eric Jorgenson recognized this inherent problem and tweetedto see if anyone would be interested in a book curating the wisdom Naval Ravikant had shared over the years.

When Eric woke up the next morning, the tweet had gone viral and he was now publicly committed to writing this novel: The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness.

In this podcast, Eric and I explore the book, have some beers, and inevitably things get out of hand, in a good way.

Christopher Brondo Sells  was a dear mentor who passed in the summer of 2019. Years prior, I interviewed him and covered topics on sales, leadership, and surgical robotics. Enjoy this rare interview with the added bonus at the end of the interview where I share quotes and pearls of wisdom compiled from various disciples of Sells as well as my own journals.  For more wisdom, you can head over to his LinkedIn page where he published some fantastic articles on leadership and startup life. https://www.linkedin.com/in/christopher-sells-1aa67b5b/

Winners in business play rough and don’t apologize for it. No need to apologize for enjoying making your competitors squirm.   The #MindLoom book of the week was written by George Stalk and Rob Lachenauer from their days leading strategy at Boston Consulting Group (BCG)

In it they show how hardball competitors can build or maintain an enviable competitive edge by pursuing one or more of the classic hardball strategies: unleash massive and overwhelming force, exploit anomalies, devastate profit sanctuaries, raise competitors' costs, and break compromises.

Definitely a book that any startup will greatly benefit from if they want to build a culture that thrives on being the best and finds ways to dominate the competition.

**Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube Channel where I release a new book summary every Wednesday - Mind Loom with Omar M Khateeb and connect with me on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook at Omar M. Khateeb** “You have power over your mind - NOT outside events. Realize this and you will find your strength” - Marcus Aurelius   The book of the week is one I reread often. In my lowest point a few years ago, this book taught me that the happiness of my life depends on the quality of my thoughts.   As one of the world's most famous and influential books, Meditations, by the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (A.D. 121–180), incorporates the stoic precepts he used to cope with his life as a warrior and administrator of an empire.   For Aurelius, serenity was to be achieved by emulating in one's personal conduct the underlying orderliness and lawfulness of nature. And in the face of inevitable pain, loss, and death — the suffering at the core of life — Aurelius counsels stoic detachment from the things that are beyond one's control and a focus on one's own will and perception.

Psychologist Karl Jung found four archetypes that play important roles in everyone's personality. Knowing them and their power is dangerously beneficial. Ignoring them is just simply dangerous. This episode will explore all four and how to nurture them (Books loomed in this episode: Influence by Cialdini, The War of Art by Pressfield, Tribes by Seth Godin, Living in the Light by Gawain, A Primer on Jungian Psychology by Hall, Various volumes of Jung, Flow by Csikszentmihalyi, Toward Psychology by Maslow)
