#47: Influencer Marketing Masterclass with Taylor Lagace

#47: Influencer Marketing Masterclass with Taylor Lagace

This is an influencer marketing masterclass with Taylor Lagace, the co-founder of Kynship, an influencer marketing company that has helped some of the world’s largest brands leverage influencer marketing to grow their revenues.

For full show notes and links discussed in the episode, go to https://mindmeld.fm/ep-47

About half way through this episode Taylor shares his computer screen to walk us through specific software they use to give us insight into how he actually executes this blueprint. You can absolutely still follow along with the audio only, but you can also watch this on YouTube (https://youtu.be/qq5MWgex9Eo). There is a chapter marker to show you exactly where he starts sharing his screen.

About the Masterclass

Taylor shares the 3-phase blueprint that they use at Kynship to help brands leverage influencers and content creators on platforms like Instagram and TikTok to organically market products and services to their followers, and then leverage the content they create to put behind paid ads.

This is a highly tactical strategy that will show you step-by-step how to do the influencer marketing right way. The reason I’m doing this is because I used everything that Taylor taught me with my e-commerce brand Longboi to successfully launch new products using the techniques and process that Taylor walks us through in this masterclass.

About Taylor Lagace

Prior to co-founding Kynship, Taylor worked at Athletes First, an NFL agency, where he was responsible for marketing on behalf of NFL stars, such as Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, and Deshaun Watson.

From Athletes First, he transitioned to the digital marketing side of the influencer marketing space by building out the influencer department at Common Thread Collective, a growth agency mainly focusing on Facebook Advertising.

Taylor’s holistic learning and experience within this space has led him to a greater understanding of influencer marketing, which he hopes to share with others who aim to leverage influencers for the growth of their business.

#44: Microdosing Psilocybin to Improve Your Life with MindfulMeds Founder Keegan Downer

#44: Microdosing Psilocybin to Improve Your Life with MindfulMeds Founder Keegan Downer

Josh is joined by MindfulMeds founder Keegan Downer to discuss microdosing psilocybin as both a means to help with mental health issues like anxiety and depression, as well as using it as a nootropic to improve your cognition, creativity and problem-solving abilities.

Keegan also shares his story of battling depression and alcoholism, and the journey he went through to discover the need for psilocybin in our mental health system.

NOTE: Keegan goes deep on his story, which ends at about the 30 minute mark. I highly recommend listening to his fascinating story to get more context on why this is so important, but if you want to get more into the meat of the podcast, you’ll find that at around the 30 minute mark.

If you want to try microdosing psilocybin, I highly recommend trying MindfulMeds.

It’s probably the safest and easiest way to get started. I’ve tried both their Perform and Inspire blends, which have only been amazing.

#13: How to Hack Your Business Finances and Investing in the Creator Economy with Jay Vasantharajah

Jay Vasantharajah shares his philosophies around starting and growing a "phase 1" business, then evolving it from a service-based or consulting business into a thriving e-commerce or scalable software company. Jay is a trained accountant, so he shares some tools and hacks on how to better manage and hack your business finances to save money and be more profitable. We also talk about how Jay is investing in the Creator Economy and how that, along with the NoCode movement, will change how businesses are being created and scaled.

About Jay Vasantharajah

Jay started his career off at Deloitte as a consultant in Toronto. It wasn’t long before he left the corporate world to launch his first business, a PPC agency. His agency managed millions of dollars of ad spend for large clients and won several awards. He used the profits from the PPC agency to start an e-commerce business which has grown into a 7-figure a year business. Along the way, he's also reinvested cash flows from his businesses into private multi-family real estate in the Toronto area and tech start-ups like Supercast, a podcast subscription software company. Today, he is actively looking to make more angel investments and acquire online businesses and in the creator economy — basically anything that can help creators like podcasters, youtubers, and IndieHackers create and manage their creative businesses.

#03: Creating Authentic Content on Social Media with Matt Lionetti

#03: Creating Authentic Content on Social Media with Matt Lionetti

Matt Lionetti is a content creator and realtor with Century 21. Previous to getting in to real estate, Matt was a touring musician playing stages from Dundas Square in Toronto to The Viper Room in Hollywood. His outgoing personality and passion for entertaining led him to his unique style of marketing and sharing comedic videos on social media to promote his real estate business. Seeing the oversaturated, typical marketing strategies on social media, Matt knew he wanted to break the mold and not be seen as just another realtor. Matt’s honest approach to content creation is saying what nobody else will and putting himself in vulnerable, comedic situations.
