3 Essential Elements of an Effective DEI Survey

3 Essential Elements of an Effective DEI Survey

"DEI Strategy:

Avoid Poor DEI Implementation with a Technology-Led Strategy

Today's workforce is looking to engage with companies committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices. They are looking for employers who understand their unique work experience and create an inclusive environment to meet their needs.

Engaging the modern workforce will be a crucial component of success for business today, but many companies struggle to maintain DEI efforts after various initiatives have been implemented.

The key to effective DEI implementation that sparks change is knowing the costs and developing a holistic strategy - including using DEI technology to lead the way.

The Real Costs of Avoiding DEI

Unengaged, Uninspired People

Burnout Among Employees

The Leaky Bucket of Diversity Hiring

Don't Shortcut the DEI Process

In developing a holistic DEI policy, three elements must exist:

1. Content

2. Representation

3. Awareness

Using Tech to Implement DEI Initiatives

Technology is playing an increasingly critical role in ensuring that DEI initiatives are successful.

An increasing number of companies are making resources about DEI initiatives and best practices available on various platforms, including their official website, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, company newsletters, online communities such as forums or Slack channels within the community, and video portals.

In addition, digital tools offer an effective way to increase awareness of DEI initiatives. Polling tools such as Qualtrics are often used to allow employees to provide input about their experience with an initiative, training materials, or feedback. These tools enable companies to track engagement and ensure that all members of the organization are contributing to it.

Recently, machine learning and AI have been implemented within social impact organizations to increase their work efficiency. These real-time learning systems can help take data collected through research and put it into action in policies, content development, and more.

Implement DEI Effectively with Mindstand

At Mindstand, our team is helping bring together the needs of DEI implementation with the realities of today's leading technology. Mindstand is poised to help your business or organization unlock the potential of your people using the latest data and analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies.

These methods help develop and implement DEI initiatives, but they set teams up for long-term success through integrated systems that harness the latest in DEI technology.

What is DEI?

What is DEI?

Is Your Organization Ready?

Today's workforce is shifting. Workplace demographics are changing. Today’s employees view their work far differently than their predecessors, with less focus on accomplishing a goal and more on a community to grow and engage with.

As part of this evolution, leadership must recognize that everyone brings their own life experiences to work. These experiences shape our perspectives and actions, which can impact how we both perform at work and how we choose to engage with each other.

With this understanding in mind, employers need to consider diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as they build their workforce. With this perspective, employers can start to understand how changing demographics and cultural values impact their company, their products and services, and their future in the industry.
