Voices from the Bilsthorpe Heritage Museum: Mining Memories & Poems

Voices from the Bilsthorpe Heritage Museum: Mining Memories & Poems

Today we are reading from some of the Mining Memories leaflets created by Bilsthorpe Heritage Museum (hence a lot of rustling in front of the microphone so apologies for slight sound-quality issues).  We've included poems, talk of miners getting hosed down on their last day at work; what the ladies of Bilsthorpe were advised wear to flatter their figures (please note, this is not advice from the participants!) and Alvin Stardust.

All this in 11 minutes: what a jam-packed podcast!
