Getting the Next Generation of Women Involved in Politics ft. Rebecca Joseph & Katherine Bronov
Women In Politics is a non-partisan organization dedicated to making politics a tangible career path for young women. WIP is dedicated to fostering an international community of girls interested in making politics equitable. We do this through our monthly magazine and community outreach: state chapters, social media, and community Geneva. Together, at Women In Politics, we are fostering a community of girls worldwide passionate about politics.
Rebecca Joseph is a 16-year-old high school senior located in California. She founded Women In Politics in May of 2020 during her first year of high school. Rebecca found her passion for politics through her high school Speech and Debate team and is now dedicated to serving her community. Through serving on the Youth Commission, her city's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity task force, as well as being her school district's Student Member on the School Board Rebecca hopes to use her platform to uplift others and inspire change.
Katherine is the Co-Executive Director of Women In Politics (WIP), a non-partisan organization dedicated to making politics a tangible career path for young women. She is a student at American University in Washington D.C where she studies political science and international relations. Outside of WIP, Katherine is active in the political sphere formerly campaigning for her State Senator and now President Biden in the 2020 election and currently working to elect Democratic Candidate for Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro. Before politics, Katherine was a professional figure skater and continues to spend her free time on the ice teaching the next generation how to skate. Outside of politics, she is very passionate about Ukrainian culture and the Ukrainian and Russian languages due to her family’s heritage and is studying to be a certified translator. Katherine is a fierce advocate for her communities in everything she does and loves talking about her experiences to help spread awareness and help others find their voice, be it in politics or beyond!
