Tonight, we serve T-E-A together to make a difference. Teatime with Miss Liz “April 22nd, 8 P.m. Johnson was born and raised in central New Jersey and is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, Marklyn has worked in the production industry for over twenty years speaking everywhere from schools, churches, and other live events. Marklyn idolized many men, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Michael Jackson, Eddie Murphy, Michael Jordan and Tupac Shakur. These figures inspired Marklyn to follow his dreams, embrace his passions, and speak his mind. However, Marklyn’s greatest idol was his father, Willie. Marklyn’s father was a rigorous man due to his struggles in life that many men of colour (African Americans) must, unfortunately, deal with. When he looks back on his life, Marklyn regrets ignoring the life lessons his father taught him. However, when he thinks about the man he’s become today- the way he tells it like it is, the way he tries to lift others, and his willingness to help others, he is reminded that he is a walking example of his father’s teachings. Time and again, Marklyn has seen kids who are down on themselves. He’s seen friends who are discouraged. While following his dreams, Marklyn encounters many people with the same dream. However, they don’t always understand the drive and passion it takes. Even in their deepest despair, Marklyn wants to motivate them and lift their spirits.Marklyn T. Johnson’s story is one of someone who has taken what he has been given and given it to others. His story is of a lost soul who found his talents and wants to give them to the world.#misslizsteatime#teatimewithmissliz#motivationalspeaker#makingadifference#motivationalspeaker#author#RacismIsAChoice#speaker#broadcaster #mystory #industry#schools #churches#liveevents#motivation #unitedstates #coach#mentoring #realtalk#podcasthost #podcastshow #podcast #joinus #livestreaming

She attended Niagara College and graduated at the top of her class from Community and Justice Services, after completing her placement at a recovery house for alcohol and drug addictions. Post-graduation she worked at a Native Friendship Centre for two and a half years while pursuing a university education in psychology. Randi-Lee continued working in social services for another four years as an employment counsellor until she left to pursue her other passions. Randi-Lee is an author and outspoken advocate for mental health sharing her true story with honesty. From the age of 14, she struggled with depressive thoughts. There were times in her life when she wasn’t sure how she would continue. Depression continues to be a battle in her life but she is glad that she continues to live. She has spoken at events that promote wellness and compassionately shares her experiences with her mental health. In 2021 she started a YouTube channel, Write or Die Show, to spread awareness about various mental health issues and to end the stigma associated with mental health. Growing up she never felt that she fit in, being the last to understand jokes and confused about many emotions that she saw in others. In 2021 she finally had answers to the questions about herself that had been nagging at her. She was diagnosed with moderate Autism. Another of Randi-Lee’s passions is kickboxing, which she has been doing for about 10 years. She was a Canadian National Champion in kickboxing in 2015, competed at the World’s Kickboxing tournament later that year and in 2016 competed at the Pan-Am Games where she received silver in her division. In 2020 she was chosen as one of the coaches for the Ontario Winter Games where she inspired and coached young athletes. Randi is a mom to two, her youngest child has autism and grandma to one. Randi encourages and supports her youngest child's entrepreneurial spirit as he follows his dream of being an artist. When she can she incorporates his art into her stories.

Teatime with Miss Liz T-E-A Open Discussion with Gerald Everett Jones

Teatime with Miss Liz March 21st, 7 pm EST. Joining is a returning guest from seasons 3-4, Gerald Everett Jones - Show Host and Author with a new book and a new T-E-A. Meet my Guest, Gerald Everett Jones. Gerald Everett Jones is a freelance writer who lives in Santa Monica, California. Preacher Stalls the Second Coming is his fourteenth novel. He has been a longtime Independent Writers of Southern California (IWOSC) board member and host of the GetPublished! Radio podcast. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the College of Letters, Wesleyan University, where he studied under novelists Peter Boynton (Stone Island), F.D. Reeve (The Red Machines), and Jerzy Kosinski (The Painted Bird, Being There). The issue of book banning is exploding across this country. Parents, activists, and lawmakers all demand the removal of certain books from schools, universities, and even public libraries. The American Library Association received an unprecedented 330 reports of book challenges last fall. The tactics and objections of these challenges push many to oppose the removal of some books, saying it violates the rights of those who want access to them. The Penguin Random House CEO recently pledged to donate thousands to the free speech organization PEN America to combat book banning. What do authors think about this recent phenomenon? Award-winning author Gerald Everett Jones finds it striking and potentially harmful. Gerald has just released his latest book, Preacher Raises the Dead, which takes on several controversial issues, including: * Can an agnostic be a practicing minister? * Should churches take views on political parties or candidates? * Is Near-Death Experience (NDE) physical or metaphysical? * How do “right to die” laws affect the treatment of patients in long-term coma? … and much more. On April 6, 1983, in the Milford High School cafeteria, he met Shelly, and they built a wonderful life together. They were married and had three wonderful daughters who grew up and started their own families. Today, seven grandchildren bring Shelly and Jeff endless joy. (There is something special about grandchildren.) Jeff has spent his working life making seasonings for potato chips, meats, and dips. You have probably eaten something he has been a part of creating. In 2002, Jeff bootstrapped his own company, and it has been a twenty-year overnight success story. Living a life filled with purpose seems to have been part of Jeff’s DNA since he was eleven. Together with Shelly, they enjoy making meaning a part of their endeavours. They invested over twenty years in supporting and running youth programs. They have served the hungry in their community, US, and internationally. In 2016, Jeff summited Mount Rainier and raised over $25,000.00 to build a school for special needs children in rural Guatemala. Jeff and Shelly try to employ a motto: “If you are going to do something big, attach it to something bigger.” That is why the purpose statement for their company is “Serve People.”Today, Jeff enjoys talking to audiences about his experiences to help people lead better, more fulfilling lives.http://jeff-higgins.com/#misslizteatime#teatimewithmissliz#serving#makingadifferencetogether#lifestories#struggles#Summit#specialneeds#foodindustry#seasoning#youthprograms#PersonalStory#podcastshow#livestreaming#joinus#LikeFollowShare

Teatime with Miss Liz T-E-A Open Discussion with Dave and Susan Kenney

Teatime with Miss Liz T-E-A Open Discussion with Dave and Susan Kenney

SURPRISE TEATIME
January 8th, 7pm
"Bringing you" Dry January."
Husband and Wife Team Dave and Susan Kenney. From
Emergo Academy
What is Dry January — Alcohol contributes to anxiety, low mood and depression, and Dry January is an excellent opportunity to encourage individuals to look at lifestyle issues. Dry January is a campaign where people sign up to abstain from alcohol for the month of January.
'''' What does 'recovery' actually mean? To recover is to regain something lost or to a regular health state.
The #1 In-Demand coaching niche globally is Recovery & Crisis Coaching.
Sadly, this trend only shows signs of greater demand in the next decade as the rise in mental health, emotional stress, divorce rates, addictions and self-destructive behaviours, and suicide attempts only continues to rise.
The cause of this global crisis is complex and integrated. Yet the solution lies within each individual taking responsibility and ownership for their health and wellbeing.
The efficacy of coaching has been shown in business, fitness, nutrition, finance, sports, and other specifically trained coaching fields. Yet when facing dire personal circumstances, it is omnipotent to lean into a coach who is equally trained and experienced in leading the individual through a process of recovery—to overcome a crisis and thrive.
"What does 'recovery' actually mean? To recover is to get back something lost in the recovery process or to return to a normal state of health.
2011 Susan and Dave Kenney saw a need and opened a private residential recovery and wellness program. This innovative program centred around a brain-first approach to lasting recovery. Leading a team of nearly thirty professionals, they worked with and impacted more than two thousand families.
Then, the world changed.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, they were forced to shut their doors. When this unexpected adversity hit, the Kenneys stepped back and asked, Kenneys' How can we serve?'.
They reemerged with a new, more significant vision to help others in need, and 2022 Emergo Academy was born.
Emergo Academy offers Recovery and crisis Coach training, education, mentoring and certification programs for aspiring coaches, seasoned coaches, professionals, or anyone looking to make a more significant impact and live a life of vibrant freedom.
Emergo Academy's mission is to continue to provide the gold standard in Recovery and Crisis Coach Certification and education programs worldwide. The academy is committed to transforming the lives of one million people by inspiring and supporting a thousand coaches, each impacting a thousand clients. This ambitious goal is set to be achieved by 2026.

Audrey Birnbaum
Growing up in New York in the late 1960s, Audrey Birnbaum assumed that watching Holocaust documentaries was a perfectly normal family activity. On her first day of elementary school, Audrey sat in the cafeteria, unwrapped her liverwurst sandwich, and excitedly told her new classmates about her public television proclivities. Her Brady Bunch-watching peers had never heard of PBS, but they had heard of PB&J (and they weren't too keen on liverwurst either). They made it abundantly clear: Audrey's childhood was, in fact, not normal at all.
We will never know whether it was schoolyard bullying or watching tragic Shoah documentaries responsible for Audrey's acute sensitivity to others, but that empathy may have helped pave the way for her choice of medicine as a career. Audrey chose to specialize in Pediatric Gastroenterology - for who needed more help than children, and where could anyone feel more suffering than in one's gut? Day in and day out, she watched intricate family dynamics play out in the context of fragile health. Audrey listened to each patient's story until she could retell it clearly and give it meaning. The seeds of writing had been planted through witnessing and recording these tender dramas.
Shortly after her father died in 2018, Audrey stumbled upon his extensive notes detailing his childhood escape from Nazi Germany. Audrey felt compelled to start writing his riveting story, which addresses themes that are pressingly relevant today. While "American Wolf" deals with tragedy and loss, it punctuates the triumph of the human spirit. It is a memoir of Holocaust survival, a family drama, an immigration tale, and an often funny coming-of-age story that will impact anyone who has experienced prejudice, displacement, or questions about their identity.
With her cherished medical career in the rear-view mirror, Audrey now enjoys singing, writing, reading, and being with friends who also had quirky childhoods. She lives with her husband in Westchester County, New York, and has three grown children. Audrey is currently working on her second book.
