They reached the bus station sooner than they expected. She was tired. So, she leant on him and slept. He admired her. She smiled like a baby. She was certainly dreaming. He smiled too. Despite his need to sleep, he preferred to stay awake. He felt he was responsible for her.
Life is too short to be wasted on trifling matters. Think of changing your bad habits. It is never late to learn. Look at yourself and the universe to see how tiny you are, then think for yourself what way to choose! I chose the way of peace!
J’ai écrit cette nouvelle dix ans auparavant.
I wrote this story ten years ago. When I was young, I used to run along the beach. One day, I saw a boy with arm sticks. I stopped running and saluted him. The scene impressed me and the memory lasted in my mind up till now. To those who struggle to live a decent life in spite of the handicap, I dedicate this short story.
This audiobook is an excerpt from my first novel ‘An unexpected Intruder’, which is, in fact, the first part of my next novel. It has been a series of seven books so far. Self-publishing is a painful adventure. However, it can be beneficial if one has a humane message to deliver. Life is a game with strict rules to abide by. The boy’s voice is by my almost five years old son Akram. I used an electronic reader because I live in a building and noises from inside and outside make it difficult for me to get good recording results.
