Welcome to More Than Myths. This episode in honor of our favorite haunted holiday we've got some spooky tales today. Hailie starts us off by telling us about a haunted wine cabinet that was bought at an estate in the early 2000s and the whole story behind what happened to the people that would come to own this dybbuk box over the years. Then, Corrine has all the details about a werewolf or a reptilian-type creature, we aren't really sure. Does it move like a kangaroo? What we do know for sure is that the chupacabra sucks the blood from its prey and was initially sited in the mid-'90s. We've got this and so much more - we hope you enjoy and have a safe and Happy Halloween!

We're going back to Troy and this week we're going to introduce you to two of the important players in the entire story of Troy. Helen, a beautiful woman born of a mortal woman and the king of the gods, and Achilles, who as a baby was dipped in the Styx. Episode Fifty-Three: Another Hotel We Won't Visit & The Corrals
Hello Curious Friends! This episode is a special one. We've got Corrine's dad, Corbin, with us. It's been almost one year exactly since he told us all about his vampire hunting days and we're so excited to have him back. This week he's telling us two stories. Both are startling, and scary, if not a little upsetting. One about another hotel we'll never go to after hearing about what happened to him there while on a business trip and another about an area you can still visit today if you're in the Boise area. We'll just leave it at that.

Episode Fifty: Run of the Paper Mill & A Pair of Lions
Welcome back to the beginning of Spooky Season and another episode of More than Myths. We're just going to jump right in with two scary stories - but scary for very different reasons. Hailie starts us off with the story about the Two Lions of Tsavo. What happened in 1898 (not 1989 like Hailie accidentally kept saying) during those nine terrifying months while John Patterson was there trying to finish construction of the railroad? Then we switch to a different kind of scary and Corrine tells us about Helltown, your abandoned, run-of-the-paper mill kind of place, but it's got some really spooky things there. The Bus. Crybaby Bridge. The Road to Nowhere and so much more. Corrine's got all the details about this ghost town, so buckle up your pants, grab your popcorn, a good strong drink, a pup or two to snuggle, and take a listen.

Episode Forty-Four: The Man from Medan & The Queen Pt. 3
Welcome to another week of More Than Myths - we can't thank you enough for being here.
Corrine starts us off with a tale about a man from Medan, but titles can be deceiving and this one sure is. Were there ghosts, or sea monsters, or even aliens that might have caused this event? Or could it have been something scientifically explained? It's an unsolved mystery and we want to stress its "unsolvedness" because it really makes you wonder - what actually might have happened?
Then Hailie finished the story of Cleopatra's life. We find out what happened to Antony and Cleopatra in their last few years from wars to donations and where things may have gone wrong for the powerful couple as well as what ancient writers tell us happened to them in the end.
Episode Forty-Three: Corpse Candles Pt. 2 & The Queen Pt. 2
Welcome to another week of More Than Myths, curious friends! Thanks for letting us sail straight into your ear holes and hearts with this brand-new episode! We've got a second parter for you on both accounts.
Corrine has so much more information about Hailie's favorite - corpse candles, but they also go by a name that we are more familiar with. They might be in league with fairies, but they seem to generally be up to no good. She's got stories ranging from St. Peter not letting a man into heaven (twice!) all the way around to hinkypunks.
Then Hailie gets into the next chapter of Cleopatra's life. There is talk of Rome and the men that are running the show there and how they have an impact on Cleopatra's life. We discuss her famous meeting with a man in Tarsus and how they started a drinking club. There's also a marriage and the birth of twins.

Hello, all of our curious friends! Welcome to another week of More Than Myths! We're ready to rock and roll this episode up into a rug.
Corrine kicks it off with something we might have thought we knew, but Disney definitely got it wrong. She tells us all about Will o' the-wisps, what that name actually means, what they are (again, it's not what you think), and how many variations there are depending on where you are in the world.
Then Hailie takes us back (again) to ancient Egypt to tell us about Queen Cleopatra. Who was she really? What was her early life like and what events happened in her life leading up to her becoming Pharaoh? We've got all this and so much more! We hope you love this episode as much as we do! Thanks for being here!

First Hailie tells us the story of The Fitchers Bird and how one young girl outwits an evil sorcerer and saves her sisters. They take it upon themselves to deal with Seven Macaw and his two sons with the help of their grandparents, some fake crab, and a poisoned chicken.
Have you ever woken up to a clean house and some fresh-baked bread? We haven't either, but if you have, it might be the work of an adorable house-elf, called a brownie! What did they look like and how can we go about getting and keeping a brownie happy? What happens when a brownie gets angry? We've got this and so much more, so buckle up your pants for this newest episode.

Welcome, curious friends! We are excited about this episode because not only is it a full-mouth salad, but it's about topics we have been looking forward to sharing with you, so grab a cocktail or a warm beverage and snuggle in.
First, let's talk mermaids. What is their history? Where can they be found? Should you take a chance and take that treasure you find on a deep-sea dive? We discuss this and so many more reasons why we don't go into the ocean.
Then we're off to Central America and the creation story of the Quiché-Maya people. We learn a little about the translation and why it was needed. We talk about the primordial world, who was there, and the attempts that were made to create humans.
Episode Thirty-Four: The Tower & Star People Pt. 2
Welcome back, curious friends! We hope you enjoy this fresh baked episode because it is piping hot! Hailie talks to us about a tower in Wyoming that is sacred, some interesting facts about it's geology, as well as some of the sacred oral histories that have been passed down from the Native Americans that reside in this area. Then Corrine takes us all the way back to Episode Two, and she has so much more to tell us about the lost civilization of Lumeria. How did they govern themselves, how did they live, as well as some information about a secret agent. Enjoy!

Episode Twenty-Nine: Matters of the Heart & An Abduction
Have we got a box of chocolates episode for our curious friends this week! What goes better with a box of chocolates than chatting about love at first sight! This week Corrine tells us all about the heart, love AND reads us some poetry! She’s also got some of the science behind how your brain plays a really important role in creating the love at first sight feeling. Do you believe in love at first sight? Then Hailie comes in peace because she’s talking about Corrine’s favorite subject and it‘s gonna be split into multiple parts (which is NOT Corrine’s favorite thing). Hailie tells us about the well documented alien abduction experience of Betty and Barney Hill during 1961 that took place as they were driving home from a week long getaway with their cute weenie dog Delsey.
Myth-Stakes: Five
Welcome to another Myth-stakes episode where Corrine & Hailie correct wrong sayings and doings. This round we are catching up after taking a long break from Myth Checking ourselves! Episode Twenty-Eight: A Cloven Floofed Demon Pt. 2 & The Black Cat Market
Welcome! We’ve got quite the episode for our curious friends this week so buckle up your pants! We’re going back to ancient Egypt to learn all about cats. How did they become so important? Why did the Egyptians think so highly of them and why was an illegal underground cat trade started? We’ll answer those questions and so much more. Then we’re traveling back down to the seven circles of hell to finish learning about the remaining six princes that Corrine started to cover last week, who's who, and what they each represent. Were they just ideals to make people feel small, or as Hailie & Corrine discuss, are there still important aspects to keep in mind regarding these seven demon princes?
