Today, we will share the insights we gained from this useful parenting book. Also, we hope that as you head into the Christmas season, knowing your children’s love languages can help you show love at Christmas time in the way they need.
This book is written by a psychologist for children who understands the differing emotional needs of children based on their primary love language. The five love languages are: physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, gifts and acts of service.
Not only does the book explain what these love languages look like but it also provides a plethora of ideas on how you can communicate love in each language.

This book is a meditation on how we can transcend the ego and overcome pain to coexist with pure love and joy in the present moment.
Our true essence is when we shed all the worldly things that tell us who we are or what we should be. By doing this, we come to the core and true essence of who we are, and our essence is LOVE.
Join us for an enlightening discussion on becoming our best selves in our relationships by transcending the pain already within ourselves that relationships can bring out.

Episode 9 - Boundaries Book Discussion
Welcome back for our August Book Club Discussion! We chose the book "Boundaries," by Cloud and Townsend, an excellent resource for learning when to say yes and how to say no in order to take control of our lives.
We enjoyed a great conversation about how God and the Bible speak to having healthy boundaries in our lives - with ourselves, our spouses, children, parents, coworkers, etc.
We can all benefit from learning our own limits and limitations. These limits are different for each of us and require personal work to discover. However, when we figure out what our boundaries are and practice lovingly enforcing them, we receive a huge payback in the form of respect and compassion from those around us. If you are feeling like your life is out of control, this book will empower you and give you back your life if you put its guidelines into practice.
For this podcast we invited a few of our listeners to join the live zoom recording and to weigh in on the discussion. Thank you for your helpful questions and perspectives. We at the MotherHeart value the collective wisdom of women and our listeners are part of that wisdom we want to hear and to share.
Join our MotherHeart Circle Facebook group and be a part of the discussion! We’d love to hear from you! We would also love to have you join us in future live zoom book club talks to share your voice and your wisdom.

Episode 8 - The Power of Choice
Get out your journal and pen and join us for our MotherHeart Circle discussion. What thoughts phrases or keywords come to your mind and heart as you ponder? For us, the phrase "Power of Choice" resonated strongly. Below are some of our thoughts:
Are you relating to our experience of feeling trapped, blockaded or isolated?
Does the word "Choose" fill you with energy and freedom or paralyzing fear?
We realize every choice comes with consequences, and it’s important that we practice dealing with possible unwanted consequences and being present with all our emotions.
Even when times are hard, we have power and hope because we can choose. Choosing is the opposite of being a victim. It is empowering.
Worry never does serve us. Trusting God alleviates those worries. Fear can become paralyzing if we are not choosing to be present. Trust that our Savior will provide that next stone for us to step on as we move forward.
Choice is such a beautiful gift. No matter what choice we make our Savior is there. Whatever the consequences are, He’s there to make it whole and complete and He will turn everything for our benefit.
We grow into our highest and best self as we make our own choices and learn and gain wisdom through those experiences.
Satan may use our fear of choice against us. He wants us to be afraid of choice because he doesn’t have choice. Trust that God provides for our every need.
We are like butterflies as we trust God to grow and to fly as we make our choices!
Did something we said connect with what’s in your heart and mind? Let us know what you think!
Join our MotherHeart Circle discussion on our group page and tell us in what ways you are practicing your power of choice.
We love you, we hear you, and you matter!

Episode 2 - Hope During a Pandemic
What is helping you to stay afloat as we navigate life in the midst of a global Pandemic?
What is on your heart right now?
At the beginning of this podcast we pause and take a minute to reflect and write down the things on our hearts. Join us in doing this, so you can see what is on your heart as well. We would love to hear your voice as you share your heart with us in our MotherHeart Circle on Facebook. There will be a thread where you can share your thoughts. Look for that thread and share when you have a minute!
- We wonder what we can do to be better prepared physically and temporally. We discuss how important it is that we focus on healing our relationships.
- We dive into discussing the ability to feel peace and to exercise faith over fear. We discover that anxiety may not necessarily be a bad thing. We accept that we can have both faith and anxiety at the same time. Anxiety can help propel us forward to take action.
- We decide to embrace the opportunities of this moment. Right now is a good time to reflect and consider where we are at in our relationships. Connection with others is so important for our health and well-being, and right now it can be very difficult to connect with others due to physical distancing. During this time of pandemic it can be beneficial for all of us to take a look at our life and re-evaluate what is most important in our lives, and to then refocus where we choose to put our energy and love.
- We remind each other to recognize that we are doing our best, and that God will see us through this. God will meet us with whatever we can do with our abilities and take us the rest of the way. “Do your best, and I will take care of the rest”. God will provide as we are trying and turn to Him. All of our tears will be turned to joy and happiness.
- We know that when we are too busy, we can forget who we are. This is a time we can be still and remember who we are, our worth. To know our true selves is to know God.
As the conversation unfolds we share our hearts.
Your wisdom and your hearts are needed. We believe in you, we love you, and thank you for being You.
Episode 1 - Introducing the Motherheart
Are you lacking support in your life as a mother/woman? This is a normal experience in many women’s lives. We have all experienced feelings of isolation, anxiety, depression, discouragement, frustration…just feeling alone. And yet, it shouldn’t be this way! One remedy for these typical experiences for women is coming together to share our stories and our hearts while turning to Christ, with no judgement while creating a safe space. Check out the summary of our discussion below and listen in for a heartfelt connection. Who We Are We are a group of women creating support and connection for one another and for women around the world. We rely on Christ as our foundation and light to help us in forming meaningful and healthy connections with other women.
Our Mission and Action Plan is to guide women and mothers in connecting across the world – face to face, voice to voice, and heart to heart. We are creating live Zoom meeting discussions and podcasts to show women how to connect with their hearts. We also aim to encourage all women to share your stories, knowledge and experiences. This is for women of all ages and backgrounds. The collective wisdom from women across the world will connect and empower us as we turn to His light.
