Movie Night with Will and Noah

With Will snapped into non-existence by Thanos, Noah does this week's episode solo. He briefly discusses the new indie "Little Woods," then goes deep on his overwhelming love for "Avengers: Endgame," and closes things off with his definitive Top 5 Movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Noah and Will take a stroll down memory lane to re-visit the films of 1999, which was also a very special year in their friendship. The Matrix, Fight Club, Magnolia, Election, and many more are featured in this retrospective episode.

Will and Noah might be wusses when it comes to horror movies, but they both saw "Us" this week and liked it. They dig into why it works, then conduct a draft of the best sophomore films by great directors. Also, Noah learns an amazing fact: Will auditioned for Wes Anderson's "Rushmore" when they were in high school. WHAT?!

Two men debate the merits of the feminism in "Captain Marvel." What  could go wrong? Also included is a draft of the best non-outlandish  Samuel L. Jackson performances, and a tense discussion of the show's  sign-off line.

Noah is climbing the podcast mountain "free solo" this week, as Will is laid up with the flu. He discusses Netflix's "High Flying Bird," goes deep on "Isn't it Romantic?", and examines the Academy's anti-comedy bias, and the achievements that went unrecognized as a result. Dig in.

Will and Noah go deep on their disappointment with "Glass," the new film by M. Night Shyamalan, then hold a draft on the best films ever to open in January. Plus, Will talks about that time a movie saved Noah from a potentially fatal hangover.

Noah is all alone today, as Will prioritizes family over friendship. It will not soon be forgotten. Instead of settling old scores, however, Noah talks a bit about a recent first-watch of "Breaking Away" (1979), and lists his most-anticipated movies of the year, which includes new works from Terrence Malick, Rian Johnson, James Gray, and Taika Waititi.
