After Hours - White Snake + Green Snake
Elwood and Kim look at "White Snake" an animated feature from Light Chaser Animation based on the Chinese fable "Legend of the White Snake" following the snake demon Blanca who after loosing her memory disguises herself as a human woman only to fall in love with a snake hunter while her past life is catching up with her.
They also look at the sequel "Green Snake" as this time Blanca's sister finds herself transported to the modern dystopian city called Asuraville, a place that imprisons creatures from many different eras. Now without her demon powers she has to find the way home.
After Hours - Past Lives
Kim and Elwood look at the Oscar nominated "Past Lives" and feature debut from Greta Lee following the relationship between childhood friends Nora and Hae Sung from meeting as children to reconnecting as adults as they question the relationship between them.
After Hours - Resident Evil Animated Saga
Kim and Elwood look at the surprisingly numerous Resident Evil Animated films including the mini series Infinite Darkness while also questioning the weirdest zombie animals, how the films link to the games and questionable master plans plus more!!
After Hours - Great White
It's Shark Week on the podcast and Kim and Elwood prepare once more to dive into the murky waters of shark movies.
This time they look at 2021 film Great White as a group of tourists find themselves stranded on a raft when their seaplane crashes and sinks only to soon find themselves being stalked by sharks.

Kim and Elwood's re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki comes to one of the more overlooked Studio Ghibli titles Ponyo in a which a young boy believing he has found a goldfish in a bottle he pulls from the ocean discovers she is in fact the daughter of an underwater wizard who is keen to find her while she longs to be a human girl.

Kim and Elwood rundown their favourite movie discoveries of 2023 as they reveal the films which left the biggest impact on them, the surprising discoveries and cinema shames they crossed off.
Movies and Tea #79 - Howl's Moving Castle
Kim and Elwood re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki this time looks at Howl's Moving Castle a film which argued that there was still a place for hand drawn animation as a young girl is turned into an old woman by a jealous witch with her only hope of being turned back resting with the self-indulgent yet insecure wizard Howl.
Movies and Tea #78 - Spirited Away
Kim and Elwood re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki reaches the Oscar winning Spirited Away and a film which arguably brought an intrest in Studio Ghibli to the mainstream.
The film following ten-year-old Chihiro whose parents are turned into pigs when they stumble into an abandoned amusement park which at night becomes a resort for spirits. Now put to work in the bathhouse she must find a way to turn her parents back and escape the spirit realm.
Movies and Tea #77 - Princess Mononoke
The battle between nature and industry is waged in Princess Mononoke a fantasy epic set in the 14th century as Ashitaka having had his arm infected after a demon attack soon finds himself caught up in the war between the ancient forest gods lead by San and the human forces of Lady Eboshi.
Movies and Tea #76 - Porco Rosso
Kim and Elwood re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki this time looks at arguably one of the hidden gems of his filmography Porco Rosso. Set in the aftermath of world war 1 were hotshot pilot Porco has been turned into a humanoid pig battling sky pirates only for an American ace to set his sights on taking down the flying pig.
Movies and Tea #75 - Kiki's Delivery Service
Kim and Elwood re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki takes a look at another Studio Ghibli favourite with Kiki's Delivery Service as 13-year-old Kiki moves to a seaside town with her talking cat, Jiji, to spend a year alone, in accordance for witches in training. But when she looses her powers she begins to question if they will ever come back.
Movies and Tea #74 - My Neighbour Totoro
Kim and Elwood re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki arrives at My Neighbour Totoro as Miyazaki drew inspiration from his own childhood to craft a fantastical tale which would also introduce some of Studio Ghibli's most memorable creations including the gigantic forest sprite Totoro.

Kim and Elwood continue their re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki with Castle In The Sky in which Sheeta an orphan abducted by the government agent Muska might hold the key to finding Laputa the mythical castle in the sky as she teams up Pazu and a group of sky pirates to find it.
Movies and Tea #72 - Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Kim and Elwood continue their re-evaluation of the filmography of Hayao Miyazaki Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind based on his manga released the previous year.
Set in a post apocalyptic future were the survivors of humanity live in scattered settlements while giant insects roam the desert landscape which the teenage princess Nausicaä has learned to communicate with. But when a rival kingdom plans to revive and ancient weapon she finds herself drawn into a quest to stop them.
Movies and Tea #71 - The Castle of Cagliostro
Kim and Elwood kick off their season long look at the films of Studio Ghibli co-founder and legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki starting with his directorial debut The Castle of Cagliostro
The second movie adaptation of the long running Lupin the 3rd series as the legendary thief finds himself caught up in a counterfeiting plot while attempting to rescue the kidnapped princess Clarisse and finally discover the hidden treasure of Cagliostro.
After Hours - Glass Onion
Kim and Elwood look at the second of the Knives Out mysteries Glass Onion as master detective Benoit Blanc is invited to the private island of Tech billionaire Miles Bron. But when the murder mystery weekend becomes real Blanc has to uncover whose playing for real.
After Hours - Knives Out
Elwood and Kim don their best deer stalker hats to look at Knives Out the first of Rian Johnson's Benoit Blanc mysteries as he attempts to undercover who is responsible for the death of a crime novelist and the suspects are plentiful.
After Hours - Virus
Kim and Elwood look at the sci-fi horror Virus in which a tugboat crew escaping a storm discover a seemingly abandoned Russian communication ship only to soon discover that the ship has been taken over by an alien presence which plans to us the crew for spare parts.
Regarded by Jamie Lee Curtis as the worst movie she ever made, we find out if it's as bad as she claims while looking at it's production from Dark Horse comic to the questionable acting choices of some of the cast and more!
After Hours - Jaws
Shark Week returns to the podcast as Elwood and Kim finally sit down to talk about Jaws which not only created the summer blockbuster but also spawned hundreds of imitators in it's wake. We look at what make this film stand out compared to it's counterparts, draw comparisons to the book and why this film still makes us question if it's safe to go back into the water.

Our Evolution of the Creature Feature season comes to a close with Alexandre Aja's Crawl which see's a category 5 hurricane heading towards Florida as college swimmer Hailey attempts to find her missing father only for the pair to soon be battling the rising flood waters and the ravenous local alligators.

Continuing their look at the Evolution of the Creature Feature Kim and Elwood look at the 2012 found footage horror The Bay as a coastal town finds itself being devastated over the 4th of July celebrations when the water supply becomes infected with mutated parasites, which soon begin infecting the townsfolk.
Movies and Tea #68 - Piranha 3D
Continuing our season long look at the evolution of the creature we have a film which is equal parts a remake as it is a sequel as Alexandre Aja adds another memorable remake of a horror classic to his filmography as a tremor unleashes a horde of prehistoric piranha just in time for the spring break celebrations.
Movies and Tea #67 - Deep Rising
It's full scream ahead as Kim and Elwood's look at the evolution of the creature feature arrives at the aquatic horror Deep Rising as a group of hijackers targeting a luxury cruise ship discover that the ship is empty and soon find themselves being hunted by the monster which has taken over the ship.
Movies and Tea #66 - Arachnophobia
The season long look at the evolution of the creature feature arrives at the 90's and the Steven Spielberg produced Arachnophobia which sets out to do for spiders what Jaws did for sharks as a small town finds itself under siege from killer spiders and a doctor terrified of spiders has to find the source before they wipe out the town.

Our season long look at the Evolution of the Creature Feature on this episode goes international as we look at the Italian film Wild Beasts in which PCP gets into the water supply for the zoo sending the animals on a violent rampage in a film packed with memorable set pieces as well as a host of equally wacky sequences as crazy as the behind the scenes tales of making the film.

Kim and Elwood's season long look at the evolution of the Creature Feature enters the 80's with Alligator which playing off the urban legend of sewer gators as a pet alligator grows to gigantic proportions when it starts feeding on the carcases of discarded test animals and soon start moving up the food chain.
Movies and Tea #63 - Kingdom Of The Spiders
Kim and Elwood's season long look at the evolution of the Creature Feature continues with Kingdom of the Spiders in which William Shatner plays the rural town vet who discovers that the town is being invaded by tarantula's which have moved on from feeding on the local livestock to feeding on the town.
We also question the worst places to encounter a spider, the insane behind the scene production stories and ridiculous faces of death!!

Continuing their season of films looking at the evolution of the creature feature Elwood and Kim look at the Alfred Hitchcock classic "The Birds" as a small coastal town finds itself under attack when the birds revolt against humanity

Kicking off our season long look at the evolution of the creature feature is the B-Movie classic Them as radioactive testing in the New Mexico desert has caused the ant population to grow to gigantic size wrecking havoc on the local population and their sugar supplies!
After Hours - City of Ember
For every Harry Potter or Hunger Games there is a best selling young adult series that never could carry across their success to the screen and on this episode we try to discover what it was about City of Ember that caused it be such a massive flop.
Set in the post apocalyptic future were humanity now lives in an underground city, but when the generator starts to fail threatening to plunge the city into eternal night two teenagers set out to save the city and discover the secret of the mysterious briefcase which might hold the secret to their salvation.

Kim and Elwood look at the first season of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities a horror anthology which brings together both his collaberators aswell as directors including Panos Cosmatos, Vincenzo Natali, Catherine Hardwicke and covering everything from elderly satanists, demons, giant rats and ghosts.
After Hours: Shark Night 3D
Shark Week comes to the podcast once more and this time Kim and Elwood check out "Shark Night 3D" as a group of students heading to thier friend Sara's lake house for the weekend find themselves battling killer sharks which have been added to the lake.

With Tarantino having such love for spaghetti westerns it was really only a matter of time before he gave his own take on the genre paying homage to the Sergio Corbucci's 1966 orginal has he reimagines the wandering gunslinger as a former slave turned bounty hunter on a mission of revenge against the men who sold him and his wife into slavery.

A long mooted project for Tarantino Inglorious Basterds provides the first of Tarantino's alternative history films as this multi-plot tale follows the titular Basterds on their campaign of fear through occupied France while a Jewish woman plots her revenge on the German officer who killed her family.
Movies and Tea #55 - Kill Bill Vol. 1 + 2
Having remoulded the crime movie genre with his first three films Tarantino followed it up with this rip roaring tale of revenge following "The Bride" a character created with his leading lady Uma Thurman on the set of Pulp Fiction. Spread across two films with Vol. 1 paying homage to his love of Eastern cinema drawing on inspiration from Shaw Bros. movies and Pop samurai cinema like Lady Snowblood and Lone Wolf and Cub. With Vol. 2 he transfered his vision into a modern western.
We look at the films which inspired his vision, how the soundtrack has lived on through reality TV as well as some insightful differences in the translation plus more.

Elwood and Kim breakdown the latest season of David Fincher + Tim Millers anthology series which this time includes giant crabs, a rat uprisings, a cybernetically enhanced bear and the return of three robots amongst this new set of stories.

Having finally arrived with "Pulp Fiction" a film which not only marked him as director to watch but also firmly rooted him in the pop culture conscious. So it would be a surprising move that Tarantino would choose to follow it up with an adaptation of Elmore Leonard's "Rum Punch" only given a Tarantino twist.
Here Pam Grier plays the titular Jackie Brown, an air hostess and courier who after being nabbed by the FBI who are keen to have her turn on her arms dealer boss. However Jackie has plans of her own as an audacious money sting plot is launched.

Elwood and Kim continue thier re-evaluation of Quentin Tarantino's filmography with "Pulp Fiction" in which four interweaved stories play out as a mysterious briefcase, a dinner date, a gold watch and the etiquette of the stick up all come together to create a film still ingrained in pop culture as when it was released.

Elwood and Kim kick off Season #7 and the start of their season long re-evaluation of the Quentin Tarantino's filmography starting with Reservoir Dogs as a failed a group of crooks try to figure out who the rat is in their group when a jewery store heist gets astray.

Wrapping up our review of the "To All The Boys" Trilogy as Lana is now in her senior year and considering how college plans but how will Peter fit into her plans and will she sacrifice her dreams for her relationship?
