Movies Are Dumb Sometimes

Almost every Hollywood movie has its dumb moments and people, but Malignant's Sydney Lake is one of the worst things in horror movie history!

Then 90 year old Clint Eastwood took on the responsibility of directing, producing and even starring in Cry Macho. What a workaholic!!

Sequels can get annoying. There's so much to remember from the previous films, and it doesn't help if they are years and years apart! The first Conjuring came out in 2013. That's not really that long ago considering how many movies have spawned from it. Horror - gotta love how they can pump movies in that genre!

So take a sit back and listen to me rant about The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It!

In this episode of Movies Are Dumb Sometimes, you get a mix of two movies that really don't belong together - Spirit Untamed and Fast and Furious 9. Well, maybe they can go together - both are a form of action and contain a lot of speed! However, one could say they are directed towards two totally different audiences.

Or maybe just the same audience - 10 year old boys!

It took its time, but A Quiet Place Part 2 finally came out, but not after trailer burnout! The performances were great from the cast all around, the story was fine, but of course, movies have to be dumb sometimes!

Oh, Cruella, what a punk rock movie you were, especially for Disney, but that doesn't make you dumb sometimes ;)

Well, this was fun! I thought it would be fun to try to catch up on the podcast with a three-fer of The Unholy, Silo, and Scoob!

As always - Spoiler Alert!

You need to see this movie. In the theaters. It's been a gem for this year, and we need more movies like it! Show Hollywood this movie should kind of be the standard (I say kind of because it is dumb sometimes, haha!) and check it out in the theater.

Then, call on it for it's dumb moments :)

Don't let the title mislead you - Mortal Kombat was a thoroughly enjoyable movie going experience! One of the hard parts about talking about films is that you have to take notes (or at least I do - I'm just not the genius I appear to be, ha!), and doing do requires your aversion from the film for brief, but important seconds. I'll be definitely seeing this movie in the theater one more time to sit back and just enjoy it!

All I wanted from the movie was to not be utterly cheesy. I got what I wanted!

Is Battalion (2018) worth the watch? Well, Juan and Sean didn't think so. Listen to this episode of WTF Did I Watch?

The Girl Who Believes In Miracles gets somewhat of a pass since its not a big time Hollywood film, but it is dumb sometimes!

This movie hurt my head...but that's why Movies Are Dumb Sometimes! So please, if you can correct anything that I have negative to say about Godzilla Vs. Kong, please correct me. But the first thing you must explain to me how the security in Godzilla Vs. Kong is nonexistent!

I walk into a theater, not worried about my movie theater etiquette and with somewhat of a snicker on my face. The theater has "Luxury+" next to its name in neon lights outside. How can a theater be luxurious, or even more than luxurious? To be sure, I had been to a couple Rave theaters in my life that had love seats, but that was about as luxurious as I've seen a movie theater get. This theater I'm in does serve beer and wine. That is a bit more luxurious than normal.

I get my ticket and head to my seat. I see recliners. Full on recliners. When I picked my seat, I was skeptical because there were so few seats in the selection. I sit in my seat and recline it fully. Am I going to be able to stay away for this movie? I thought to myself.

Now, calm down. I know there are people out there who are going to hate this movie. There are people who take life way too seriously, and for some reason, take entertainment even more seriously. Did you know not all movies are documentaries? It turns out many, many more movies are meant for entertainment purposes, and Nobody achieved that while igniting the midlife crisis in me.
