Jason and Ray Interview retired United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne is a recalibrated warrior, motivational speaker, actor, author and an advocate for veterans and ampu

On April 10, 2012, United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne was critically injured on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan by an IED (improvised explosive device) while on patrol, losing portions of both legs and both arms. He is one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries.

Thanks to his amazing strength, courage, an incredible will to live, the heroic actions of the men in his unit, the prayers of thousands, and all the healthcare providers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, near Washington D.C., Travis remains on the road to recovery. Every day is a battle, but Travis continues to astound friends and family alike with his progress and with his amazing spirit.

In September 2013, Travis and his wife Kelsey founded the Travis Mills Foundation, a nonprofit organization, formed to benefit and assist post 9/11 veterans who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation. The veteran and their families receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses paid, barrier-free vacation to Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s great outdoors.

The Travis Mills Group LLC was started shortly after, where Travis consults with and speaks to companies and organizations nationwide inspiring all to overcome life’s challenges and adversity.

Travis’s story has been featured on local and national news including Fox News’ Happening Now with Jenna Lee, The O’Reilly Factor with Bill O’Reilly, CNN with Barbara Starr, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Chris Osman is a disabled Veteran, who started his career as a U.S. Marine seeing combat in Somalia. Chris then joined the Navy and became a SEAL after graduating with BUDS class 215. Chris performed in numerous classified operations in the Arabian Gulf, as well as combat in Afghanistan immediately after 9/11. Leveraging his product knowledge and business experience, Chris wanted to bring the same type of high quality, made in America products to the motorcycle industry. Being an avid rider, Chris could never find any products that were either Made in the USA, were built for function and performance or that were of high quality. With that in mind our Mission is simple; COD™ will only sell products that have been battle tested or brands that are proven to be best in class that you can rely on. Along with 20 years of design, manufacturing and product distribution experience, we have an unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and customer service.

It's time to Fight Back!

It's time to Fight Back!

JR Overcome Show - Episode 20 - This week’s podcast we are discussing the tragic active shooter situation, we had right here in Virginia Beach. Only about three miles from where I was when it occurred, I immediately thought of all our law enforcement officers that were involved in that shooting. And it moved my heart #VBStrong. I felt compelled to talk to you about what happened.

Most of the victims in this recent shooting worked in the building where the shooting occurred. But there were a couple who just happened to be in there that day. I know there was a contractor that just happened to be in the building and, unfortunately, lost his life because he was applying to get a permit. He just happened to be in there at the wrong time.

So, what would I do in this situation?  Well I would FIGHT BACK.  What does that mean?  Well, in the dictionary it is defined as "to attack or try to defeat someone who is attacking or trying to defeat oneself," which I think is something that pertains to this situation.

We had the opportunity to speak with Dave Acosta from @FightBackNation. Dave travels across the country teaching businesses and organizations how to prepare for potential life-threatening situations. He educates individuals on what to do if they are caught in a situation like this.  Listen now as he shares with us his thoughts on how to fight back.  It's time to Overcome and Conquer!
