A few weeks ago I answered a question on Quora which asked: "What do I need to know before I go to the gym?" 111 - Sleep Your Way to Fat Loss
In this episode, I explore briefly how better sleep can lead to fat loss and 8 ways to sleep smarter. Notice, I didn't mention sleeping longer throughout the show. Quantity may not be as important as quality. 8 ways to improve sleep quality: 1. No caffeine after 2 p.m. 2. Minimal screen time at least 1 hour before bed (more is better). 3. Complete darkness in your bedroom, if it emits light, cover it. 4. Ensure magnesium intake is adequate (400mg for me, 320mg for women, daily). 5. Get more natural sunlight throughout the day. 6. Track your sleep and notice the trends. 7. Create a sleep ritual. 8. Can't sleep? Just go with it. Insomnia may be better for you than sleeping pills. 107 - Turning Have To Into Get To
Every morning I read a page of The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman. Each of the readings has some timeless life advice but every so often one really strikes a chord. That was the case with the passage I read today. It's such a simple concept I believe can have profound effects in day to day life. Instead of thinking of things as "have to's" consider them as "get to's". For example, instead of having to wash the dishes. Consider it as getting to wash the dishes because you had the opportunity to eat off them. Of course, this can relate to anything and everything but I think it's a simple trick to change the way we view things. Link to the book mentioned in the show: Say Hi to me anywhere! I decided to try a new episode format! Five minutes of Fire Friday's 🔥 Let's see how long I can keep this up. Day 79 - My First Time Speaking In Public
I gave my first ever public speech when I was 11 years old in 2004. It was called "The Wacko Watch". It was a smart watch (that wasn't a term back then) that could do a whole bunch of cool things. I remember how scared I was getting up in front of a crowd. Those feelings are replicated every time I make a podcast/record a video on YouTube. Day 74 - My Instagram is Fake
What do the recent four posts on my Instagram have in common? They're all of me shirtless. That's not me all the time. I don't always have perfect lighting and someone around to take 100 photos of me to get the right one. Recently, I've been exploring new ways of being creative. Instagram is one of them. Fitness is a large part of my life but I'm not good at the business side of things. If I want to be a fitness entrepreneur, I've got a lot of work to do on the business side of things. In this episode, I talk about how I realised what one of my main weaknesses is and the feedback I gave myself from the previous video (see Day 73 for more). I filmed this episode! Machines won't replace doctors anytime soon but they will aid them to make better decisions. In this episode, I discuss some key points from the article as well as my thoughts on what the intelligence revolution means for the world. Daily challenge: 20 minute walk with no tech. Just your thoughts. Thank you for listening!

Day 52 - George Sourris: We'll Never Be Ready
I was over George's for dinner and preparing for our upcoming MIT bootcamp. I had come to the realisation over the past couple of days that no matter how much preparation we did, we would never be fully ready. That's okay, it's much the same with anything in life. We also had some fun towards the end with a freestyle rap battle. I got a headache from laughing so hard. It was a fun night. Thank you for listening.

Day 51 - The Same 24 Hours
I came to a realisation today. This episode is mostly a note to self more than anything. I also have a 30-second freestyle rap at the end, that alone is worth listening to the episode for. I completely embarrass myself but I had lots of fun. Thank you for listening.

Day 50 - Will and Sam Bourke: A Hard Question To Answer
Halfway through the 100-day experiment! What an epic journey it has been so far. In this episode, I have two of my brothers on the show. We talk about topics such as building a resume from a HR point of view, what makes a good YouTube video, favourite book recommendations and what they don't teach you at University. I had a lot of fun with the episode, it was good to spend some time just talking to my younger brothers. There's so much to learn from everyone, especially those younger than you. Thank you for listening.

Day 49 - 10 Ways Meditation Has Changed My Life
Meditation has changed my life in more ways than one but most of them come to one central theme. Focusing on the now. This whole podcast can be summed up in those four words. There's no more perfect time other than right now. In this episode, I talk about how meditation has changed my life over the past year. So far, I've done almost 300 sessions on the Headspace app and accumulated almost 70 hours of total meditation time. I don't recommend anything to anyone that I haven't tried, this is something I'm recommending. Take 10 minutes a day for yourself. You don't need an app, just sit and breathe. If you haven't got enough time for 10 minutes to yourself, you've got bigger problems to solve. Reach out to me about your own meditation practices, I'd love to hear about them!

Thank you all so much for listening. Much love, Daniel

Day 45 - The Dumbest In The Room
I recently signed up to course where I'm not ready for. It starts in a week from today. I'm going to be the dumbest person in the class. The past few days I've been thinking about asking for a refund. I realised that this is not the right option. I'm going to give it my best shot and surround myself with people who are much smarter than me. This is a great opportunity to grow. In this episode, I talk about the anxiety I've been feeling about the course and how I'm implementing the lessons I've learned from others to push me forwards. Link to videos page mentioned in this episode:

If there's anything I learned from this episode, it's that my Dad has lived an incredible life and has plenty of stories to show for it. I hope I'm like him when I grow up.

These tips aren't just limited to the interview room though, they can be extrapolated to almost any situation.
