Remotely Interested

I caught up with Dj, producer and Paradise Palms label boss Jacuzzi General this week for a slightly surreal and confusing conversation about music and jacuzzis and all things in between. 

Had a right laugh catching up with Dave House from The Noise Floor studio, which is quite a unique and great wee set up. Dave also creates "polyrhythmic soundscapes built from algorithms, field recordings and found sounds" under the name The Reverse Engineer.  

Caught up with Jacksonville this week to see how he's doing and what he's been getting up to.  Chatted about sample packs, playing live, Elektron gear etc etc. 

Caught up with techno producer, sound designer, mix engineer, and caring care worker Patrick Walker this week on the old dog and bone. We chat about gear.. (surprise surprise) field recording and listening skills as well as the crazy loudness of gigs these days.    

This week I ran a nice hot bath and gave international DJ and beat maker B-Burg a phone to see how he's getting on. He's recently returned from living in France, and has just put out a retrospective album 'Return To The Dessert Island.' We also chatted about bikes, the great outdoors, MPCs, Out of The Ordinary, bananas in piranhas,  pianos on skateboards.... the usual stuff..       

A chat with Gavin Sutherland aka Other Lands about working on his upcoming album with Linkwood on Athens Of The North, general music making under lockdown restrictions and various other stuff and nonsense.
