Isaac S. joins Amanda and Court on the final episode of the season! Isaac lives in Colorado and serves in multiple leadership positions at the local church, conference, and jurisdictional levels. Episode 6: Calvin
Calvin from Colorado reminds us that "the church is not a building, it is a people." He offers his perspective on how the church can play a role in shaping the lives of young people. Calvin also suggests ways to show love to our neighbor, even if our neighbor is hard to love.

Episode 5: Ella
Ella from Colorado shares her story of faith in this episode of Mountain Sky Prophets! Ella also gives our youth ministries and larger churches some ideas on how to connect with those outside of the church walls.

Episode 4: Carlos
Carlos lives in Colorado where they're involved in theatre, music, and youth group. In this episode, Carlos shares their experience of being LGBTQ+ in the United Methodist Church, exploring their gender identity, and why it's so important to affirm LGBTQ+ people in ministry.
NOTE: Carlos references the 1918 flu pandemic and claims that it killed 5 million people. Our correction based on information from the CDC is that it killed an estimated 50 million people world wide. Carlos also references the UMC's 2019 Special Session of the General Conference and places it in June of 2019. This took place in February of 2019. If there are other statements that listeners are curious about, we encourage you to fact-check this information as we cannot guarantee it's accuracy (but we are forever in awe of how knowledgeable young people are!).

Episode 3: Sheridan
On our third episode of Mountain Sky Prophets, we have a conversation with Sheridan. She shares with us her experiences of growing up as a pastor's kid, moving, and going to high school during the time of COVID.
Note: Amanda's mic was turned down during this episode, and we didn't catch it at the time of our recording. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Episode 2: Khasidy
Khasidy is a high school senior in Montana, and she's got plenty to worry about: a pandemic, college applications, scholarship, and...school shootings? Khasidy shares what it's like to get an education while looking for the nearest exit and worrying about the future of our country and planet. She also offers her perspective on what it might take to bridge the gap between older and younger generations, especially within church congregations.
