Quarantiiinnnneeeee
A few things I've been learning/still learning during this quarantine season
Let's talk about clutter
Part of the journey to knowing who you really are requires you to know what doesn't work for you. Have you (already) figured out what clutter/baggage is?
I found out a bit of mine in this episode :)
Why Do We Like Being Seen As Busy?
As Kenyans, one of the phrases we love using most apart from 'kata nikupigie' and 'niko apa tu' is ata sijapotea, niko busy busy tu. We love being seen as busy all the time, but do we know that being busy doesn't equate to being productive?
Communication vs Comprehension
Have you ever been in a position where you didn't feel understood? Like you feel you're putting your point across, you know you've used all the words necessary to say what you want to say, but people still take you fi eediat?
Privacy in what you share when you first meet someone (Part 1)
Some people mind it when they first meet someone and they ask them what they do for a living, especially the status-seeking judgmental ones. Some don't.
Unless in a case where a stranger wants to write you off or deny you a service/entry into a space (any space) because they look down on you?
Do you personally mind it if you've JUST met someone and they just HAVE to know what you do for a living?
The Superman Pose
Have you ever heard of the Superman Pose? In this episode, i give y'all a snippet of how and why you should stop short changing yourself, why you should keep pushing even when you don't want to and why the Superman pose (which I just remembered is from Grey's Anatomy) is a thing you should incorporate into your day to day schedule :)
