Music and Mentorship
By Music & Mentorship
In Music and Mentorship, you will get an inside glimpse into the inner workings of a healthy mentor/apprentice relationship as J and Matthew discuss the spiritual impact of music on their lives. Each week we discuss a new album. We welcome you to join us.
Ep. 10 (Part 2) Derek Webb: The House Show - "I'm so easily satisfied by the call of lovers less wild."
PART 2 OF 2: In the tenth episode of Music and Mentorship, J and Matthew welcome their friend Bdubs to join the conversation about Derek Webb's 2005 live album, The House Show. The guys are excited to discuss the rich theological truths that Webb presents, but the conversation takes a theological and emotional turn as they reflect on Webb's recent deconversion. The trio talks about how to know/define who is a saint, and they try to balance the duality of God's sovereignty with humanity's responsibility. The discussion was too good to cut short, so be sure to listen to both part one and part two as they are released!
