The Voice of a Muslima

The Voice of a Muslima

By Muslima

I want young teenagers, including myself, who are growing up in Muslim families to be proud of their religious identity and understand what it truly means to embrace Islam. In this podcast, I’ll relate societal issues and other aspects of our life with the teachings of Islam, in hope of inspiring the hearts of others to love their religious identity and convey the message. I will also try to connect with the youth of our Ummah to foster bonds of friendship and kindness amongst ourselves. By the will of Allah, I’m thrilled to even think about beginning this journey with you! Stay Tuned! ❤️

02: Anti-Racism

Whether you choose to believe it or not, Islam has condemned the core concept of racism ever since the very beginning of existence. In the Quran, Allah(SWT) explains to us the beauty and the purpose of the diversity of mankind. Rather than all of us being from the same race, we all come from various backgrounds, races, and nations. And there are so many beautiful stories from the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that demonstrate Islam’s strong objection against racism. In today’s world, racism is a word that is used so often by people today that it is very difficult to understand its meaning as different people define the word differently. If we want to play our role in collectively combating racism as Muslims, we have to understand what racism actually is and clarify any misconceptions, how it affects society, and what we can do to annihilate it.

In this episode, I will explain what racism is and clarify some general misconceptions and then I’ll talk about what it really means to be anti-racist. After this, I’ll dive deeper into how important the message of anti-racism is in Islam.

01: Unity

01: Unity

Today, the Muslim community is fragile and brittle. The fabric of unity and mutuality that should bind us has been torn apart by our lust for power, sectarianism, materialistic desires, and racial prejudices. The Muslim Ummah is diverse, consisting of people from a myriad of cultures and races. We are different in so many ways, but these differences should not be a cause for disunity. Instead, we must put our differences aside and allow our diversity to empower our Ummah. Our Islamic faith must nourish the bond of mutuality that unites us all.

In this episode, I will be talking about why it is important for us to unite, and what are things that we can do to help unite our Ummah.

Trailer: Islam, A Way of Life

Recently, the fervor that persuaded me to create this account was resuscitated within me, but the difference between then and now is that this passion was restored with a much more vehement energy, and for this reason, after due consideration, I thought it would be best to incorporate a different form of communication apart from writing and posts.

So inshaAllah, by creating this podcast series, I hope to inspire young Muslims like me to attain a deep love for Islam that will allow us to defend Islam at all costs. And, I hope to do so by drawing parallels between issues of society and other aspects of our life with the teachings of Islam. ❤️❤️❤️
