By Mathew McClanahan
Fitness for sport, whether that be Crossfit, powerlifting, bodybuilding, etc., is an ever-increasing community. With this growth, injuries can happen, and we need to have a better understanding of the specific needs of these populations. 3x10 with a band just isn’t cutting it anymore, it’s time for a change. The Missing Variable host, Matt McClanahan, is here to talk with various professionals regarding the current state of fitness and rehab, and how these two worlds are closer than you think. Join Matt and his guests to find what your athletes are missing.

The Art of Falling with Ben Musholt
Ben Musholt is a physical therapist and entrepreneur in Portland, Oregon. He co-authored Parkour Strength Training in 2016, and he published the Mad Skills Exercise Encyclopedia in 2013, with a second edition that came out in 2017. When not coaching or helping his rehab clients move better, he can be found exploring the Pacific Northwest wonderland. His goal is to do 3 fun physical activities per day. Good luck keeping up. We explore the art of falling in this episode. Often, we think of avoiding falls or rehabbing patients after they've had a fall. But what if we taught patients HOW to fall? That's what Ben and I explore in this episode and more! Links available at www.missingvariable.com/19/
