Ben Musholt is a physical therapist and entrepreneur in Portland, Oregon. He co-authored Parkour Strength Training in 2016, and he published the Mad Skills Exercise Encyclopedia in 2013, with a second edition that came out in 2017. Denise Smith is a certified running technique specialist and a licensed physical therapist. She graduated from Marquette University in 2002 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, is the technique coach for 3 local high schools, and travels the country as part of the Pose Method education team with a lecture series on improving performance and reducing injuries for runners through understanding proper running form. She is also an adjunct instructor for kinesiology at McHenry County College. Denise believes that when a runner improves their form by addressing biomechanics, they can run faster, run longer, and run without pain.

Dr. Jon Ide-Don is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in working with CrossFit athletes and Endurance Athletes. He also specializes in strength and conditioning for endurance athletes and people with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. Currently, he teaches clinicians and coaches through continuing education courses with MobilityWOD, helping to educate people on how to utilize strength and conditioning and MobilityWOD concepts in the clinical and gym settings.
George and I talk about his recent transition from student to clinician as well as where some PT’s might not be as experienced as a personal trainer. Max Lepage is a competitive natural bodybuilder and powerlifter originally from Quebec, Canada. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at College of Charleston and is currently completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In combination with his experience in academics and athletics, Max uses his personal history of injuries in an attempt to educate others on how to more effectively prevent and rehabilitate injuries and improve the overall training process.
Max and I discuss his current injuries and how his previous experiences have strengthened his current outlook regarding rehabilitation and returning to the platform.
I've been reading "The E-Myth Revisited" and have been loving it. Today I wanted to quickly talk about one of the first concepts talked about. How all of us have an entrepreneur, a manager, and a technician inside us.
Bob Chang is a first year DPT student at Ithaca College. He has dreams of starting his own clinic/gym when he gets out of school. Bob has been trying to brand himself on social media (@gainstherapy) and been connecting with various mentors and influencers. He will talk about the struggles of trying to branch out, connect with other people while being a shy introvert.
Kurt McDowell is a Personal Trainer/Sports Coach at Southeast Hospital's gym Healthpoint and is currently in the beginning stages of starting is own online coaching company, Paragon Training Systems. He recently acquired both his Master's degree in Nutrition and Exercise and his C.S.C.S., and has plans in motion to attend East Tennessee State University for his PhD. in Sport Physiology.
