On Episode #36 of the MVRed Podcast, we were joined by the Chairman of the Ohio College Republicans, Taylor Armstrong, who talked about the important work their various chapters do on college campuses across Ohio. Taylor is very knowledgeable and has a big future ahead of him. In the second half of the episode, we shared our predictions for the May 3rd GOP Primary. Dane shared his reasons for supporting Renacci, while Michael shared his reasons for supporting DeWine. On the US Senate side, Dane provided some analysis on all of the candidates and how their campaigns have evolved throughout this primary season. Dane shared his reasons for supporting J.D. Vance, while Michael is on the fence between J.D. Vance and Matt Dolan. Our first interview in th.e race for the OH GOP Gubernatorial nomination is with political outsider and Central Ohio farmer Joe Blystone. Joe gave us some background into his life and how he made the decision to run for Governor. He talked with us about the latest Trafalgar poll that showed him in a tight race with Jim Renacci for 2nd place and why momentum is on his side. On Episode #31 of the MVRed Podcast, we dove into new polling out Thursday, October 28th, showing Republican Glenn Youngkin pulling ahead of Democrat Terry McAulliffe in two separate pols (Fox and Co/Efficient). In addition we were teased a poll coming out Friday, October 29th, from Rich Baris of People's Pundit Daily showing Youngkin up 3 points. We discuss why education is turning out to be a potential winning issue for the GOP in a state that has turned quite blue over the past decade. We also discussed the current crop of Ohio US Senate Candidates for the GOP after a forum was held in Columbus this past weekend hosted by national radio host Hugh Hewitt. We also offered our condolences to the family of Cleveland talk radio giant Mike Trivisonno who passed away this afternoon. On Episode #28 of the MVRed Podcast, Dane and Michael discussed the new Ohio Budget that Governor Mike DeWine signed into law on June 30th that contained a 3% income tax cut and additional funding for school vouchers within the state. The discussion then focused on the highly contested Republican races for Governor between Mike DeWine, Jim Renacci, and a potential dark horse Joe Blystone, as well as the Senate race between Jane Timken, Josh Mandel, JD Vance, and others. The episode concluded with a discussion around whether there may end up being some friction between the Trump backers and Ron DeSantis backers in the future if DeSantis is able to win re-election by a substantial margin in 2022. On Episode #27 of the MVRed Podcast, Dane and Michael discussed Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's 5/12/2021 announcement that he would have the COVID-19 health orders end effective June 2nd. We discussed a potential GOP Primary battle between DeWine and former OH Congressman and US Senate Candidate Jim Renacci. We concluded discussing our thoughts on whether the GOP should be the Party of Trump (as a person) or the Party of Trump (from a policy perspective). In episode #9 of the MVRed Podcast, our entire focus is on the Coronavirus. Nearly 20,000 Americans currently have been diagnosed with this virus and that number is expected to grow exponentially in the weeks ahead. We share our thoughts on the Chinese and the dangers of US medical supplies and drugs being produced in China as opposed to the USA. We offer some suggestions/solutions that we think President Trump and Congress should consider when life gets back to normal as it relates to US companies that have a foreign presence. In Episode #4, we dive into the divide between the Baby Boomer generation and the Millennial generation. From attending college, to incurring large amounts of student loan debt, getting married later on in life, and to their willingness to experiment with elements of socialism, we discuss the millennial point of view on those topics and why they are often at odds with Baby Boomers.
