Week 9: Waiting on God

· Waiting on the Lord should never be viewed as time wasted; but a season of PREPARATION!

· Waiting teaches us PATIENCE if we learn to find PURPOSE in the PROCESS that is PREPARING us for the PROMISE.

· Are you REALLY waiting on God or is God waiting on You?

Week 8: Praise & Worship

· The TRUE PURPOSE is for us the BELIEVER to see God in His glory and be “CONVERTED” or Born Again for the purpose of Discipleship.

· We believe that Praise is the act; and Worship is the response!

· Praise is universal and is an acknowledgement

· Worship gets to the heart of who we are and causes us to humble. (It is about total surrender to God!)

· It is an attitude of the heart.

· Worship is a LIFESTYLE and not just a one-time event.

Week 7: The Ten Commandments

· Many people mistakenly look at the Ten Commandments as a set of rules that, if followed, will guarantee entrance into heaven after death. In contrast, the purpose of the Ten Commandments is to force people to realize that they cannot perfectly obey the Law (Romans 7:7-11), and are therefore in need of God’s mercy and grace.

Week 5: Spirit of Discernment

· True discernment is being able to distinguish between the voice of the world and the voice of God.

· Spiritual discernment requires that we have a sensitive consciousness, and a passion for purity.

· In layman’s terms, it is knowing the difference between what’s gold and what’s gold-plated.

Week 4: Walking in Love

1 Corinthians 13:4 – 7 (AMP) – 4 Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 5 It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. 7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

· God wants us to look at love as a part of who He is; not just something that he does.
