How do the latest College Football Playoff rankings impact Boise State?
Jeremy and Raj are back to discuss the second week of the College Football Playoff rankings and how they impact Boise State. The Broncos did move up one spot to No. 21 and are still behind Memphis and Cincinnati. Boise State still needs help to move up but they are stuck not only behind the Tigers and Bearcats but Navy could jump Boise State if the Middies defeat Notre Dame. That has us put the Broncos in the second-tier for the Cotton Bowl bid from the Group of Five. We go through the games that could change the rankings from the Group of Five and odds are one of two of these American teams could lose and assist the Broncos move up for next week's rankings.

2019 Week 11 Mountain West Football Recap
Jeremy and Matt are back to recap Week 11 of Mountain West football in what was one of the most exciting weeks of the season with so many close games and also upsets. This week also had a few controversial play calls by coaches or at least some that a lot of people were going back and forth on. We start with Utah State and Fresno State which saw both offenses play well but it was the Aggies getting the win. Boise State and Wyoming played a defensive duel with the Broncos winning in overtime. Nevada defeated San Diego State in a slugfest of a game and despite scoring on every single possession, San Jose State lost to Hawaii.

2019 Week 11 Mountain West Football Preview
Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the 11th Week of Mountain West football which has just four games instead of five. The Air Force vs. New Mexico game is being postponed due to the death of the Lobos Nahje Flowers. That game is being pushed to Nov. 23 when each team has an off week. We do briefly discuss the College Football Playoff rankings and what games to look for within the Group of Five. Fresno State hosts Utah State in a game where both teams are going in different directions, to a degree. San Diego State hosts a Nevada team that has settled on a quarterback but the big thing to watch in this game is the running game. Wyoming and Boise State will be interesting but only if the Cowboys defense can slow down the Broncos offense, and the night game between San Jose State and Hawaii is worth staying up for as it could eclipse 80 total points.

Sorting out the Group of Five pecking order after the first College Football Playoff rankings
Jeremy and Raj are here to bring you reaction for the first College Football Playoff top 25. Think of this as an introduction to know the teams that are in the mix for the coveted New Year's Six spot from the Group of Five. We go through the top 25 and also what teams are contending. The teams earning a ranking are No. 20 Cincinnati, No. 21 Memphis, No. 22 Boise State, No. 24 Navy, and No. 25 SMU. There is a ton of football left but we comb through a lot of scenarios, so as Jeremy says, 'take notes'.  There is talk of chaos with the Army vs. Navy game the week after the final playoff rankings matter, San Diego, State, App State, and UCF's chances of getting into the race. Also, what are the odds that both the Mountain West and American team have just one loss.

2019 Week 10 Mountain West Football Recap
Jeremy and Matt are back to recap the wacky Week 10 of Mountain West football. There were blowouts and unexpected results throughout the day. Air Force is a good team and found out a way to get its win over rival Army and the same can be said as Boise State needed everything to defeat a pesky San Jose State team on the road late Saturday night. Colorado State is showing to be a tough team, at least on offense, and could be a team to play spoiler the rest of the way and maybe make a bowl game. UNLV which lost to the Rams is in trouble and the question about its head coaching position which is still occupied by Tony Sanchez. Nevada is one step closer to bowl eligibility after topping New Mexico. The late game saw Fresno State upend Hawaii and we still know nothing much more about the Bulldogs.

2019 Week 10 Mountain West Football Preview
Matt and Jeremy are back to preview Week 10 of Mountain West football which features a pair of non-conference games with four league games on the day, yes, all games are on Saturday this week. The two non-league game feature Air Force hosting its armed services rival in Army and this is a game that the Falcons should handle vs. the falling Black Knights. The other is more interesting with BYU traveling to Utah State. The Aggies have been struggling a bit this year and so has BYU, the Cougars have not who said what player will be under center. Expect this one to be close. The Mountain West games feature Colorado State which is slowly improving this year and can continue that vs. UNLV. Boise State is coming off of its first loss and will face San Jose State which is sitting at 4-4, Fresno State travels to Hawaii in a key West Division game and then there is New Mexico vs. Nevada.

2019 Week 9 Mountain West Football Recap
Matt and Jeremy are back to look back at Week 9 of Mountain West play that had very interesting results. It started with San Jose State upset Army, at least from a betting standpoint and the Spartans have a legitimate shot at a bowl game as they sit with four wins. The one result that was not expected was Air Force easily dispatching Utah State by a score of 31-7. Colorado State pulled off a win over Fresno State which is not the team some people thought they were this year. Wyoming also had an unexpectedly easy victory by topping Nevada, 31-3, with a dominant running performance. Finally, San Diego State nearly went to overtime vs. UNLV but the Rebels missed a field goal at the end of the game that would have sent it to overtime.

2019 Mountain West Week 9 Football Preview
Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 9 of Mountain West play that features a full slate of Saturday games and 11 of the 12 teams in action. The one non-conference game is San Jose State at Army which could be an interesting game that has a line of the Black Knight's being a 9.5-point favorite. One side not of the week is injuries and suspensions. Nevada is pulling quarterback Malik Henry so he can focus on grades, New Mexico suspended quarterback Sheriron Jones, and Colorado State did the same with running back Marvin Kinsey for Colorado State. Those absences could be the difference in those games this week. The big game of the week is Utah State which traveling to Air Force on Saturday night. The Falcons might not have the services of Donald Hammond III again and Mike Schmidt could be starting. Schmidt had a good performance last week in relief and was a difference-maker for the Falcons.

2019 Week 8 Mountain West Football Recap
Jeremy goes solo to recap everything from Week 8 of Mountain West football. This week was wild with a few upsets and some sorting out the conference races. Fresno State's defense came on strong vs. UNLV by turning in multiple turnovers and stops into 28 points. New Mexico really isn't that bad as they moved the ball vs. Wyoming but failed to convert when it counted in its loss. Speaking of Wyoming, quarterback Sean Chambers completed over 50 percent of his passes for the first time this year. San Diego State outlasted San Jose State, Boise State fell to BYU and its trick plays, Utah State cruised to victory over Nevada, and Air Force crushed Hawaii on the islands.

2019 Week 8 Mountain West Football Preview
Jeremy and Matt are back to take a quick look back at the midseason of Mountain West football and then look ahead to a very interesting week 8 of Mountain West play. There are 11 teams in action with five conference matchups and one non-league game. Games start on Friday night with Fresno State hosting UNLV and looking to rebound from last week's loss to Air Force, while the Rebels want to build on that momentum. Fresno State is a huge favorite. On Saturday, New Mexico will attempt to make some offensive noise against Wyoming's defense. There there is San Diego State and San Jose State battle in a game that was very close last year, will it be the same? Boise State at BYU which could see the Cougars play at worst its fourth-string quarterback and if things go well its backup Jaren Hall but he suffered a concussion last week. Nevada at Utah State has a massive three-touchdown line in favor of the Aggies. The late-game features two contrasting styles in Air Force vs. Hawaii.

2019 Week 7 Mountain West Football Preview
Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 7 of Mountain West football. This week is loaded with very important and big time games. The action gets started on Friday night between New Mexico and Colorado State, yes that games seem not great but there are implications for the coaches in that game. Saturday has a lot going on with the two biggest games being at night when Wyoming travels to San Diego State for a defensive showdown in Southern California. The other high-profile game is No. 14 Boise State hosting Hawaii and its run-n-shoot offense and this game in Idaho could lead to more points and has more of a blowout potential but the odds of that are slim. San Jose State is hoping to get to four wins as they take on Nevada which has a new starting quarterback this week and then Air Force and Fresno State battle in a game where it will finally be known who the Bulldogs are.

2019 Mountain West Football Week 1 Recap
Jeremy and Matt are back to recap the first full week of Mountain West football which was full of ups and downs with a ton of excitement and a little bit of disappointment. This week was arguably one of the best ever in the Mountain West with Boise State, Wyoming, and Nevada coming from behind to defeat Power 5 teams, and there could have been more. There is room for improvement and a lot of optimism for the Mountain West this year.

Jeremy and Matt are back to actually talk some football. Week 0 started off with Hawaii defeating Arizona at home in a very wild contest. The Warriors won 45-38 and it saw a bit of everything with a ton of offense, interceptions, fumbles and defensive stands. The two first go over some of the latest news in the Mountain West which surrounds UNLV's offense, Air Force losing players and depth charts being solidified. The main course is Hawaii hosting Arizona. This game should be a shoot out as the over/under is set at 74 points. Both offenses should be able to move the ball nearly at will and this game could come down to what defense makes the biggest stop.

2019 Boise State Football Preview
Matt and Jeremy are back to preview the Boise State football and its 2019 season. The two are also joined by Raja Prabhala who covers the Broncos for the website. The big issue with this team is who will start at quarterback and also running back as both starters have moved on from the program. The Broncos get the benefit of the doubt but that does not mean there are question marks on the program. Odds are that the Broncos will compete for a conference title even though they lost a lot of offensive playmakers.

2019 Hawaii Football Preview
Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the Hawaii football for the 2019 year. Entering the second year of the run-n-shoot might lead to an even more explosive offensive, especially if QB Cole McDonald is healthy. The running game must get better at running the ball and make up the production lost from WR John Ursua. The defense needs to get better but on the positive side there is experience on that side of the ball, and to help the team this unit just needs to be average. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the 2019 Colorado State football season. The Rams are coming off a pretty bad yar where they went 3-9 after three straight 7-6 finishes. 2019 Wyoming Football Preview
Matt and Jeremy are back to talk about the 2019 Wyoming football team. The Cowboys have some questions on both sides of the ball, but the offense has more than the defense. On offense, the running game loses Nico Evans and will be replaced by Xazavian Valladay who rushed for nearly 1,000 yards less than Evans. Also, while Sean Chambers is the quarterback, he needs to prove he can throw along with running the ball well.  This episode is presented by FuboTV and SlingTV these are two streaming services which can help you watch nearly every Mountain West football or basketball game way less than traditional pay TV.

Jeremy and Matt are back to preview San Jose State's football season which should be at least marginally better. That is not a knock on the Spartans program because while SJSU is getting better but the problem is so is the rest of the league. The Spartans offense has some pieces together and if they are healthy then they could get a few more wins because of that. The defense loses star players but they had decent depth to keep the defense about on par as last year.  This episode is presented by FuboTV and SlingTV these are two streaming services which can help you watch nearly every Mountain West football or basketball game way less than traditional pay TV.

What is going on at Colorado State?
In a special one-off podcast Jeremy is joined by Justin Michael of RamsReport.com to get a feel with Colorado State which is in disarray after losing to Illinois State. The QB position is now wide open and very likely will be Collin Hill, and maybe that the reason for the struggles are more on the defense and slow offensive start. Week 4 Mountain West Football Preview
Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 4 of the Mountain West football slate. There are fewer games this week with byes starting to take place, but that doesn't mean there aren't some good contests. Air Force and Utah State is the one league game on the schedule, but UNLV travels to Arkansas State and Nevada goes to the Midwest to face Toledo. Also, SDSU is a little banged up, will that matter hosting Eastern Michigan? Week 3 Mountain West Football Recap
Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 3 of Mountain West football which included some really good wins like Fresno State and San Diego State topping Pac-12 schools. The bad loss was Boise State dropping a road game to Oklahoma State. That was not necessarily a bad loss but it was a chance for the Broncos to move closer to the top 10. Week 2 Mountain West Football Recap
Matt and Jeremy recapped Week 2 of a really wild, bizarre, sad and awesome day of Mountain West football. Colorado State finally got a win, Hawaii keeps rolling through opponents with its offense, Boise State just waxed UConn and much more. The concerns come from Wyoming and also San Jose State who look to be trending in the wrong direction, but the Cowboys might just be stuck playing tough opponents and could rebound over the next few games. Washington State vs. Wyoming game preview
Jeff Nusser of CougCenter.com joins the podcast to give us a preview of what this Washington State team will be as it travels to Laramie to take on the Wyoming Cowboys. The big notes are that the Cougars have a new quarterback in East Carolina transfer Gardner Minshew is likely the starter this weekend. The wide receiver group will be deep but may not have a stud who will haul in over 70 receptions but should be a group that has a bunch of guys catching between 40-50 passes. The biggest issue on the defensive side for Washington State is the defensive line that not only lost production from a year ago but also is very thin in returning talent. This could be an area where Wyoming has some success on offense and cause a headache for the Cougars. Michigan State vs. Utah State game preview
This latest mini-episode features Crowley Sullivan who covers Michigan State over at Spartans Wire and he joins Jeremy Mauss to preview the Utah State game vs. the Spartans on Friday night. The Spartans bring back nearly every player on both sides of the ball and over 90 percent total production. The defense could be the best in the country and the offense looks to be balanced in the run and pass game. However, the suggestion that Utah State will just be blown out is not entirely the case. Michigan State has struggled in openers and in the early part of games, plus the Aggies should be a pretty good team this year and at least be a pest toward the Spartans in this opening game.
