Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has perhaps existed as long as mankind has experienced trauma. It was finally recognized as a diagnosable condition in 1980 when the American Psychological Association included it in its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for mental health practitioners.

Historical Trauma is an example of intergenerational trauma. It’s caused by events that target a group of people. Thus, even family members who have not directly experienced the trauma can feel the effects of the event generations later. • Dr. Maria Yellow Horse Brave Heart, Ph.D., conceptualized historical trauma in the 1980s, as a way to develop a stronger understanding of why life for many Native Americans is not fulfilling "the American Dream".

Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome is a condition that exists as a consequence of centuries of chattel slavery followed by institutionalized racism and oppression that have resulted in multigenerational adaptive behavior, some positive reflecting resilience, and others that are harmful and destructive. 

The theory of P.T.S.S. was developed by Dr. Joy DeGruy as a result of twelve years of quantitative and qualitative research.

New and final  episode January 23, 2023 (Doing your shadow work, won't hurt)

Bullying can come in many different forms, one form of breaking generational curses for me is stopping the hate and animosity in our own family and community.  For example, forcing ourselves and others to do things that they or you are not comfortable with doing. I understand that the more uncomfortable you are the more you grow, but not in this particular situation. In fact, the more uncomfortable you are when it comes to doing something someone is forcing you to do, you actually become closed off as you get older, you isolate yourself to prevent yourself from saying no, because saying yes puts you in situations you really don't want to be in. Saying yes, and forcing yourself to please others by doing things outside of your comfort zone can inflict mental harm. Setting boundaries and foundations on how you want to live in this world should not affect others unless they are utilizing your weakness to harness their strength. Doing things that make you happy, while not harming or affecting others; is the ultimate self-esteem fulfillment.

This episode came out today specifically at 4:04 because that signifies the angel number; having a stable foundation in your life. 

So get to work on your skills and purpose this week while we celebrate Kwanzaa and allow me to help you release your fears before the new year, build your foundation of boundaries, and goals, and stand in your purpose faithfully without looking back!

This episode is titled: Don't Bully Me, PTSD because bullying can cause a form of PTSD as well, constant bullying, or aggressive verbal, mental, and physical behavior towards another being. Here to help me correlate PTSD with bullying is my good friend and author of a new book called: Karman; in this book, Nathaniel's main character was a victim of bullying, and how she resolved her mental issues are pretty scary.

Bullying can cause someone to harm you or themselves so please be kind to others.

I titled this episode: 

No Man Left Behind because ordinarily, I wanted to interview military veterans for this particular series, but Ray reached out to me about his story which allowed me to give the full spectrum of the topic of PTSD and how it's not always related to the military. PTSD, as I stated in the first episode of this series; does not always stem from military stress or trauma. Many people can experience PTSD just from balancing work and a social life alone. In other words, PTSD is not picky when it comes to choosing its victims and it is very much real. 

Ray helps us discover his other people's walks with PTSD and healing techniques, Ray doesn't plan on leaving any man woman, or child behind as he exemplifies that in his daily living, by offering counseling through his ministry services, spreading inspiration and positivity in his music, and informing listeners and viewers on a better way of life and living.

We did not all grow up the same. Although I come from a similar background as my peers, what was being taught in the home was a different experience.

Race has never been at the forefront of my child hood but colorism has, so in some way race has always played a part in how I conduct myself and my surroundings. 

In this episode, I am breaking down the things I heard growing up, from my childhood friends and the military experience that I believe got me where I am today. A mother raising two biracial daughters, fighting for equality and black generational wealth.

They call me a sell-out, but they were just a stronger contender!

Segregation and discrimination played a huge part in why some melanated Americans believe interracial relationships are horrible; others see it as a way to continue to keep down African Americans. This is my unbias opinion on the matter. 

I am giving you facts, emotions, and something to think about.

Part three will be coming out on September 19th (my biased opinion) after that we will be wrapping up interracial relationships as a topic of discussion for season three.

Letting go of your past self, issues, problems, people, jobs, thoughts, habits, and more.

God has called me to go into a 6-month transformation and before I could disagree he was calling my business associates on the same accord, so of course, I was obliged to listen, and now he is calling me to help others because he feels I am the right one to tell the real ugly truth about walking or stepping out on faith. 

My journey has not been an easy one, from letting go of relationships that no longer benefit my spiritual growth to letting go of old habits that I once believed helped with my mental health. 

So do not be afraid, you are not alone, I call you my spirits because I know that you have what it takes to ignite the world with your divine light inside your temple. 

So I challenge you to make this transition with us and see your life become greater, fulfilled, and you at more peace than ever before by July.
