Easy Ways to Make Your Wedding More Sustainable
With sustainability being such a buzz word these days, I'm here to help demystify how it ties in to YOUR wedding. Let me help you get in the right mindset to easily make your wedding more sustainable with these 8 tips for planning your wedding. Plus, I've got some super easy tips for after the wedding (and they even can come with a tax deduction)!
Since I've been a wedding photographer for more than 10 years, and an environmental advocate personally, I'm so so excited to share how these two ideas can merge!
NOTES:
1. Choose a sustainable, no harm engagement ring & jewelry for your wedding.
2. Sustainable fashion doesn't have to be ugly! Let's talk about bridal fashion and how you have have the best unique gowns without hurting the planet (or other people)
3. Wedding planners can be a great key to help you integrate 0 waste and sustainability!
4. Organic florals? Do they really make that much of a difference for the planet?
5. Look for wedding vendors who practice giving back, 0 waste, and sustainable practices (p.s. I share how J.J. Au'Clair partners with you to give back to the global community).
6. Venues— can we really make a difference with the location of our wedding?!
7. Reduce plastic waste with glassware, flatware, etc.
8. Catering + Organic Food!
+ BONUS: Tips for giving back from the excess of your wedding (and possibly get a tax write-off)!
