Ep. 106: How A Self-Made Entrepreneur Sold 2 Companies in 2 Years, Raising $42 Million Without Venture Capital, and Going From Filmmaking to Entrepreneur ft. Josh Landan

I interviewed Josh Landan, founder, and CEO of Ashland Hard Seltzer. Josh has an amazing entrepreneurial story, having sold two alcohol businesses in two different categories in under two years. He is a self-taught genius at capital raising, with investors like Lauryn Evarts, The Salty Blonde, Ali Grant, Chris, and Lauren Lane, actor Adam Devine among several others. Even after all that, he’s a super chill, regular guy.

A couple of notable achievements:

  • Josh has raised over $42 million to date for his numerous businesses, without a VC
  • He just sold Ashland to Anheuser-Busch after only 11 months of building the brand
  • He sold his first business to Coors for $100 million
  • He started out as a surf filmmaker talk about going from being a filmmaker for 10 years to working in the alcohol industry.

If you want to hear about building a brand, the not pretty side of being an entrepreneur, and pushing past fear then this is the episode for you!

Ep. 100: MY 100TH PODCAST EPISODE!!! What I Have Learned After 100 Episodes

Ep. 100: MY 100TH PODCAST EPISODE!!! What I Have Learned After 100 Episodes

MY 100TH EPISODE IS HERE.

Since this is such a special episode, I wanted to thank you, guys. Thank you for always listening and tuning in every week, thank you for following the Instagram and interacting on that, thank you for all the shares on your stories which mean more to me than anything, and of course, thank you for the kind reviews.

I interview so many people on this podcast and so many different types of people. I have interviewed about 95 people on the show. 95!! That is insane. And all of them come from different walks of life and different backgrounds. I learn so much from every single guest I have ever had on. Recently, I was debating niching down to only entrepreneurship or a specific type of person. But, I love the diverse guests I have. I love hearing people's stories. And it means so much to me that you love them too.

But, I have absolutely loved creating this podcast. I love sharing my platform and giving it to others. This podcast has also been through a lot with me. While I don't share my personal life as much on here, I have quit a job, started an agency, moved to NYC, moved back home from NYC, and I feel like this is only the beginning. I can't wait to see the rest of the chapters unfold.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for being here with me on this podcast. Thank you for listening regardless is this is your first episode or your 100th episode. I encourage you to binge any episodes that you might find useful - and I may be biased - but like the reviewer said, you can get something out of every episode.

Let me know by DMing me which episode was YOUR favorite. And who you want to see on the podcast next. I have some incredible guests coming on that I feel like I need to pinch myself. Before we go, if you could please take a screenshot and share that you are listening to the episode, that helps a ton. It helps people discover the podcast. I love seeing all the shares on your stories. So... Cheers to episode 100 and cheers to the next hundred more!
