We have all walked roads that have tried and tested the very fabric of who we are. Lived a life that has caused us pain and suffering that you’d wish upon nobody else to live. But when we looking back with a degree of self compassion, we often realise they are also the same and very experiences that have forged us into the very person we have become today. Our suffering becoming nothing less than our greatest teacher...passing on lessons that we will never forget.
Mental ill-health can affect anyone, and how we navigate these roads will display more strength of character than any great accomplishment or deed. Only those who choose to keep walking through the darkest of places will ever have the chance to not only rebuild, but also the possibility of recovery.
