The Foundations of Social Injustice with Jesus Hernandez
In this episode, Dr. Hernandez and I discussed the formation of modern social ills within impoverished communities, and how unjust allocations of funding continue to provoke a cycle of poverty. We also analyzed how previous public policy such as the practice of mortgage redlining and the establishment of racial covenants curated these disadvantaged populations.

Environmental Justice and Injustice With Kurt Karperos
In this episode, I discuss the environmental injustices that minority communities face with Kurt Karperos, the Deputy Executive Officer of the California Air Resources Board and the supervisor of the Community Air Protection Program. Mr. Karperos and I also discuss how environmental inequity is experienced within the greater Sacramento area, and how we should address these issues through a community-based approach. We also speak on the true meaning of environmental justice, and how states should promote this idea through their policies and communication with community leaders.

Police Reform With Daniel Hahn
On the first episode of Civil Discourse Reimagined, I discuss the need for police reform with Sacramento Chief of Police Daniel Hahn, and how police departments can address systemic issues through a variety of solutions. Mr. Hahn and I also discuss the growing influence of social media and how news can quickly become a platform for ideological division.
