November 19, 2023 - From Genesis 22 Abraham is put to the test. God sends him to the land of Moriah make a sacrifice to the Lord. The sacrifice was to be Abraham's son Isaac (whom he loved). Pastor Doug upacks this incredible story. It's not only a test but a revelation as well. Abraham finds Jehovah Jirah (The Lord Will Provide).
I AM WHO I AM
November 12, 2023 - From Exodus 3:1-15 Moses has been prepared all his life to lead the children of Israel out of slavery and to the promised land ... he just doesn't know it yet! God reveals to Moses his divine name I AM WHO I AM = Yahweh = Jesus!
El Shaddai, Almighty God
November 5, 2023 - In Genesis 17 God reveals himself to Abram as El Shaddai and then changes his name to Abraham. There's so much more in the text that couldn't be covered in 40 minutes. God confirms his covenant through Abraham AND Sarah. With God all things are possible.
God Who Sees (El Roi)
October 29, 2023 - The name El Roi is only used once in the Bible, Genesis 16. That's where pastor Doug teaches from in today's message. What a great encouragement to know that we serve a God who sees any and all injustices that we may be facing!

September 24, 2023 - How much do you need? Jesus tells a story (based on Luke 12:13-21) about a rich man whose priorities were all wrong. He was the type of man that the world thought was successful, a man to be emulated. God called him a fool.
Forgiveness
September 17, 2023 - Forgiveness. C. S. Lewis said that "Forgiveness is a beautiful word, until you have something to forgive." In today's message Pastor Doug teaches from Jesus' story from Matthew 18:21-35 where Jesus tells us we must "forgive from the heart." Feelings aren't helpful!

August 27, 2023 - Pastor Doug taught from Luke 10:25-37, one of the most well-known stories Jesus told. In this story the hero happened to be someone that the audience would not have expected in the least. Compared to the clerics that passed by the one in need the good Samaritan show his care for the man in need through compassion, courage, and a commitment to his well being until he got back on his feet.

Banquet Invitation
August 13, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches from Matthew 22:1-14. We are invited to the wedding banquet arranged by the King. Many are invited but only those who wear the provided wedding garments will be able to participate. The King, in his grace, has provided everything!
Two Sons
August 6, 2023 - Pastor Doug shared from Matthew 21:28-32. Two sons were asked to work in their father's vineyard. Only one son did the will of his father. The natural question that must be answered in response to Jesus' story is "Which son are you?"

July 30, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches from Luke 15, where Jesus tells three stories about "lost and found." The context of the three stories is critical to understanding the meaning. Of particular interest, in the third story there are actually two lost sons, not just one as we often think.

The Greatness of Small
