March 10, 2024 - Is there a right way to do church? The Apostle Paul went to every city where a church was planted and appointed elders. Based on Paul's instructions, church isn't primarily about what happens Sunday mornings. That's because the church isn't a building.

March 3, 2024 - Based in Romans 5:1-5 Paul calls disciples of Jesus to find joy in suffering. Suffering for the name of Jesus as well as suffering because we're human.

February 4, 2024 - "The law is good," the Bible says. But Paul explains that the law is the ministry of death. How does that work? Based on 2 Cor. chapter 3, pastor Doug teaches on the difference between the law (and it's purpose) and the Spirit.

January 28, 2024 - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 is probably the most well known Scripture in inspiration. Pastor Doug continues his study on the teaching that Paul brings to the church.

January 14, 2024 - From Acts 9:20-31 Pastor Doug looks at the changes that took place in Paul's life after meeting Jesus. We find that Paul told his testimony often. He was not ashamed of his past because where he was pointed to the grace of Jesus who is able to save the worst sinners.

January 7, 2024 - There is no one (other than Jesus) who has had more influence on the Christian church than the Apostle Paul. Who was this man and why did Jesus personally choose him to bring the good news of salvation to the world? Pastor Doug looks at Paul's background and conversion (based on Acts 9:1-19).

December 31, 2023 - On New Year's Eve! pastor Doug teaches from Matthew 2:1-12. The wise men could only be pointed in the right direction from creation (the stars). They were directed to Jesus Christ through the Word of God. May 2024 be the year that we hunger and thirst for the Word of God so that we get to know the God of the Word better.

December 17, 2023 - Based on Isaiah 9:6-7, pastor Doug teaches about the name "Everlasting Father." Remember, this is the name that the "Child born, Son given" would be know by. How does that work? Fastinating! We find that Jesus has all the characteristics of His Father. He is a faithful Father!

December 10,2023 - The second message in the Names of God, Christmas Edition based on Isaiah 9:6-7. The child that would be born, the son that would be given, would be called Mighty God. This could be translated Mighty Hero. Is Jesus your hero?

Novermber 26, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches on Jehovah Rapha, God our Healer. The children of Israel were exactly where they were suppused to be. They were in need of healing just as much as the water was in need of healing. Based on Exodus 15:22-27.

November 19, 2023 - From Genesis 22 Abraham is put to the test. God sends him to the land of Moriah make a sacrifice to the Lord. The sacrifice was to be Abraham's son Isaac (whom he loved). Pastor Doug upacks this incredible story. It's not only a test but a revelation as well. Abraham finds Jehovah Jirah (The Lord Will Provide).

November 12, 2023 - From Exodus 3:1-15 Moses has been prepared all his life to lead the children of Israel out of slavery and to the promised land ... he just doesn't know it yet! God reveals to Moses his divine name I AM WHO I AM = Yahweh = Jesus!

November 5, 2023 - In Genesis 17 God reveals himself to Abram as El Shaddai and then changes his name to Abraham. There's so much more in the text that couldn't be covered in 40 minutes. God confirms his covenant through Abraham AND Sarah. With God all things are possible.

October 29, 2023 - The name El Roi is only used once in the Bible, Genesis 16. That's where pastor Doug teaches from in today's message. What a great encouragement to know that we serve a God who sees any and all injustices that we may be facing!

October 22, 2023 - The second message in the series, "The Names of God." Pastor Doug teaches about the name Adonai and the implications in using this name of God.

October 15, 2023 - This is the first message in a series called "The Names of God." Each time God reveals his name he is revealing his character and he's helping an individual or people group in their time of need. Pastor Doug started with Genesis 1:1 where we are introduced to the Hebrew word for God, Elohim.

October 1, 2023 - Pastor Doug finished his series "Jesus Stories" with the message titled "Self Justified" based on Luke 18:9-14. It's a familiar story. Two men went to the temple to pray, a Pharisee and a tax collector. Only one went to his home justified! Can you guess which one?

September 24, 2023 - How much do you need? Jesus tells a story (based on Luke 12:13-21) about a rich man whose priorities were all wrong. He was the type of man that the world thought was successful, a man to be emulated. God called him a fool.

September 17, 2023 - Forgiveness. C. S. Lewis said that "Forgiveness is a beautiful word, until you have something to forgive." In today's message Pastor Doug teaches from Jesus' story from Matthew 18:21-35 where Jesus tells us we must "forgive from the heart." Feelings aren't helpful!

August 27, 2023 - Pastor Doug taught from Luke 10:25-37, one of the most well-known stories Jesus told. In this story the hero happened to be someone that the audience would not have expected in the least. Compared to the clerics that passed by the one in need the good Samaritan show his care for the man in need through compassion, courage, and a commitment to his well being until he got back on his feet.

August 20, 2023 - Church planter and missionary in Mexico, Jim Cottrill, teaches from Romans 1:16-32 on how Paul's words written some 2,000 years ago are relevant today. It all starts with refusing to honour and thank God.

August 13, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches from Matthew 22:1-14. We are invited to the wedding banquet arranged by the King. Many are invited but only those who wear the provided wedding garments will be able to participate. The King, in his grace, has provided everything!

August 6, 2023 - Pastor Doug shared from Matthew 21:28-32. Two sons were asked to work in their father's vineyard. Only one son did the will of his father. The natural question that must be answered in response to Jesus' story is "Which son are you?"

July 30, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches from Luke 15, where Jesus tells three stories about "lost and found." The context of the three stories is critical to understanding the meaning. Of particular interest, in the third story there are actually two lost sons, not just one as we often think.

July 23, 2023 - Chad Salyn spoke on what it means to rest. What do we need to do to do the works of God? Believe on Jesus, rest in Jesus. See John 6:29. Chad also expounds from Hebrews 3 and 4.

On July 9, 2023. Pastor Doug continued his series on Jesus Stories with his message titled "Living in Light"

July 2, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches from Luke 11:1-13. It's the fifth in the "Jesus Stories" series. A midnight experience comes to all of us, the unexpected, turning our world upside down. We have a God (represented by the neighbour) who has the resourses to deal with our emergencies. Will you come to him in your time of need?

June 25, 2023 - Pastor Doug teaches from Mark 4:30-32 where Jesus uses a mustard seed to illustrate what the kingdom of God is like. Who are the birds in the story? This simple parable, when understood, is so encouraging and hopeful for all who will receive it!

On June 18, 2023. Pastor Doug, Asked the Question what would you do if you found treasure and what do you think about the thought that Jesus thinks of you as Treasure. In his message titled Hidden Treasure as he continues in his series on "Jesus Stories"

June 11, 2023 - From Matthew 13:1-23, pastor Doug teaches from Jesus' story of the sower and the seed. As we will discover, the story is more about the condition of the soil. Of which type of soil is your heart ... hard, stoney, weed infested, or the good soil, ready to receive the seed of God's Word and produce a bountiful harvest?

June 4, 2023 - Pastor Doug started a new series called "Jesus Stories." The first message, coming from Matthew 7:24-29, is the story of two home builders. One lays a good foundation and one takes a short cut. The question Jesus' listeners would be asking is: "Am I the wise man or am I the foolish man?"

May 7, 2023 - In a world where self-help books are being published by the thousands each year, Pastor Doug teaches on how we (as followers of Jesus) should respond to the me first, self obsessed culture. The Bible teaches us that we are to "take up our cross daily" and follow Jesus ... and that's quite opposite of the cultural approach. See Romans 8:5-8.

April 30, 2023 - We live in a culture that often dismisses small as insignificant and not worth consideration and time. Pastor Doug teaches that in the Bible we see a different picture. Using stories from both the Old and New Testaments, it's clearly seen that small is often celebrated. Don't despise the day of small things! ... see Zech. 4:10.
