Our guest, Alex Tha Great, wears many hats: a poet, playwright, keynote speaker, and trainer with ties to Texas and California.  She was top 10 in the 2017 Women of the World Poetry Slam and has given keynotes and facilitated trainings to over 30 institutions across the country.  Her poetry has been published in numerous literary journals. She uses her voice through art as a way to express her views on her lived experience and to speak to the struggles of other oppressed people.

Alex received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California - Irvine and a master’s degree from Claremont Graduate University.
