Next Step Influencers

By David Schaub

Have it all together? Yeah me neither. If you like podcasts that explain how to have it all together you're barking up the wrong tree on this one. But if you want to feel empowered despite not having it all together this is perfect for you. I'm David Schaub: A keynote speaker & author of "Never Complete - Becoming who we were meant to be". I am on a restful movement of learning, making mistakes and seeing God's grace through all of it. I love telling stories, interviewing other Entrepreneurs who embrace true leadership, and taking next steps on their journey. This isn't as good as it gets.

You Don't Have To Love What You Do

You Don't Have To Love What You Do

Do you ALWAYS love what you do? I'm guessing the answer is no. There's a misconception that we always have to love what we do and I just wanted to settle it in this podcast. Of course we want to love what we do all the time but often we can't. How do we get through this and still feel empowered? How do we get through the mundane tasks to create the life we really want for ourselves? I answer this question in this podcast because I'm going through it right now as I record it.

You Can't Hate a Guy In a Wheel Chair

You Can't Hate a Guy In a Wheel Chair

In this podcast I had the privilege to interview my friend Jeff Griffin while we were both speaking at a conference this past weekend.

For those who don’t know him, Jeff has accomplished some extraordinary things.  Jeff always dreamed of playing sports on the ‘big stage’! As a kid he envisioned playing college football as a receiver. He was one-step closer to fulfilling his dream when the following summer a construction accident left him broken and paralyzed from the waist down. His life and dreams were shattered but not defeated. During those darkened days, he had a decision to make; he could stay down and quit or get back up and succeed. He chose the latter.  He played in the 2004 Paralympic games in Athens Greece and competed in Amsterdam, Holland, as a silver medalist for the USA men’s wheelchair basketball team. Jeff played in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) as a National Champion, and was a 4-time All-Star MVP. He was the #1 men's wheelchair tennis player in the State of Utah and won the St. George Marathon. Jeff also has two Guinness Book of World Records. Griffin started two successful business from scratch and created a non-profit organization called the ‘Road to Recovery’, which impacts thousands of injured vets and physically disabled persons.

We talk about all his next steps along the way and ones he is taking today. We talk about adversity, the best question he was ever asked and who his biggest influence was in his life.

Winning The Lottery Four Times Without Buying a Ticket

Winning The Lottery Four Times Without Buying a Ticket

Twenty three minutes! That's how long my friend Dominic had no heart beat before he was revived in the hospital. In this podcast I interview my good friend, Dominic. Dominic is completely blind because of a heart attack he suffered just a few years ago. Because of his heart attack he lost his eye sight. In this podcast interview Dominic talks about his story and how he has even more vision for his life then he did when he could see. Dominic talks about his struggle, his triumph and what's next for him despite apparent limitations in his life. This podcast is a must listen!

Give what you got

Give what you got

Often we think we have nothing to give because of our circumstances or constant failures. Here I tell a story from my recent missions trip to Cuba and how giving what we got really changed the whole atmosphere.

Missed Opportunities

Missed Opportunities

Hate waiting? Of course you do. I can't even wait for a microwave to cook my food half the time. Here I talk and tell a story about what happens when we don't wait properly in our life.

Going Backwards

I'm Offended

I'm Offended

Why do we or others get offended so easily? We think we know but I want to take it a little deeper than the surface what we think we know. I use a story of me speaking in Dallas TX and how I got offended during that speech. Take a listen.

Why The 6 Figure Income Earner Moved Into His Moms House

Why The 6 Figure Income Earner Moved Into His Moms House

Why would a successful business owner sell his home and move back into his moms home? Sounds pretty silly at a first glance. But listen to why this is such a great invitation to take a next step that doesn't show outwardly at the moment but inwardly. This podcast is a story about present struggles that we can be experiencing. This is a real story. Your story is real. Can we use our platform in the middle of the struggle to influence others even when we aren't sure what exactly is next for us? Absolutely. This Story is proof of that. Even when its not finished yet.

Don't Live a Rehearsed Life

Don't Live a Rehearsed Life

As a keynote speaker you would think I don't get nervous speaking in front of friends or family. That's not the case at all. I really thought about why I felt that way and created this podcast. The conclusion I came to might surprise you but there is a golden nugget in this podcast for everyone. We all want to be fully known and fully loved.

Smoke And Mirrors

Smoke And Mirrors

Have you ever made a bad decision when you thought it was a good one at the time? Like having buyers remorse. Have you ever been so caught up in the busyness of life you forgot about the obvious important things? I know I have.
Something that is described as smoke and mirrors is intended to make you believe that something is being done or is true, when it is not. Often we do this to ourselves in our own lives. In this podcast we explore the idea of how we can create a delusion in our lives without even realizing it.

Who Gets To Tell You Who You Are?

Who Gets To Tell You Who You Are?

Why are we so easily angered by things that don't mater in the end? Maybe someone said something to you that didn't sit well in your soul, our boss is a jerk, or we just feel like no one is loving us where we are in life.

I tell my story about how my day started off awful and I felt disrespected by one of the bigger business owners in my area. This question is how I dig deeper so I can get to the root of the problem verses just masking it. If we don't deal with our junk now it will come out sooner than later at the most inopportune times.
