The NFT Outer Space Show

Born in Botswana to English and American parents, Tobin Jones has spent the majority of his life living on the African continent in Botswana, Malawi, Kenya and Somalia. Tobin has worked extensively throughout East and the Horn of Africa, particularly in Somalia, where for six years he documented the country's struggle with Islamic extremism, its emergence from over twenty five years of civil war, and its gradual rebuilding.

Tobin aims to use his photography to capture stories on the continent that might otherwise be overlooked. His photo essays have covered transgender issues in Kenya, homemade prosthetics in Somalia, traditional healing in slums and the demographic makeup of Kenya. Tobin is a Co-Founder of Nonaligned, where he works with a collective of storytellers working on socially relevant, visually beautifully crafted stories for digital consumption.

Tobin Jones’ work has appeared in multiple publications including The New York Times, The BBC, Time Magazine, The Huffington Post, and The Guardian. He has also worked for multiple international organizations and NGO's throughout the region, including UNHCR, WFP, the Danish Refugee Council, and USAID. His past photography awards include the Marty Forscher Fellowship Award, Echo Foundation Grand Prize Winner, Pride Photo Competition, and the Juror’s Choice Award in Visual Storytelling by LensCulture.

Tobin holds a bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies with minors in Economics and Political Science from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster in London, England.

Sabrina Bonini is the founder and main curator of CriptoEsCultura, a platform launched in 2021 with a very clear goal: to help the Spanish-speaking community, specially female artists, in their first steps towards financial and creative self-sovereignty, educating them to get into the NFT space, promoting their NFT art and creating bridges between them and other artists, collectors and enthusiasts of this revolutionary technology, so they can succeed with the same representation and opportunities as everyone else.

She has been working in the creative industry for more than 15 years, and has been involved and studying several artistic disciplines since a very young age. Her discovery of Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and NFTs sparked a new passion in her. She has been studying, exploring and actively participating in the space since late 2020, enjoying its endless potential and decentralized culture and community, and experiencing first-hand the paradigm shift that NFTs entail.

OllOOl or Abel, is a 22 year old Mexican artist, attracted and introduced to art in all its variants by his family, mostly painters and craft creators.

From an early age he began to experiment in drawing with pencils and materials he had at hand, and gradually grew his interest in design and art, entering the career of architecture in 2018, another branch of much interest to him.

His art is mostly made up of vibrant colors and bold color palettes, this has been evolving towards a direction of focusing on details. He tries to express emotions and sensations through lines, and colors that give an aspect of movement.

Most of us know Simona as an awarded painter and a digital artist from Italy, but behind all this art there’s an impressive resume on science and technology.  Simona holds a master’s in science in theoretical astrophysics.  Her studies and experience have granted Simona several certifications in cybersecurity, specializing in enterprise network security and other information security programs.  Since her time in the NFT space, Simona has dedicated herself to promoting best security practices, helping artists and crypto enthusiasts to keep them safe from scammers.

Photojournalist for Zuma Press, photographer, storm chaser,  and humanitarian, Leslie Spurlock, has been captivating  audiences all over the world. With 21 years of experience Leslie is bold with her pictures and capturing the world through her eyes. She has covered stories all over the world  from the USA, to the Amazon, and Haiti. She got started in her photojournalism career when she decided to make a bold move and go to Haiti to do some documentary work. By 2004 she was supposed to go to Haiti for Carnaval but the uprising happened and that’s when she decided to listen to her calling and embarked on her career into photojournalism. She ended up living with the rebels for 3 weeks when they ousted  President Aristide and took over the country temporarily. She went back 4 more times, including, covering Tropical Storm Jeanne that killed 3000. After those times in Haiti she took a break from photojournalism and started shooting weddings and portraits, but her heart wasn’t in it and soon she was led back into photojournalism in 2020.She was watching the riots unfold with George Floyd and that’s when she knew in her heart that she had to make a decision. This was her life’s calling, which she could no longer ignore. It was there, that she covered 17 protests across the country. Capturing the most astonishing and captivating moments in US history. Not only was she out in the middle of the riots, but she was also involved in storm chasing. Capturing the heart of the storms  and the aftermaths of Katrina, Rita, Harvey, Laura, Ida, and Delta. She has been published worldwide including in Time, Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, NY Post, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, Miami Herald, Austin American Statesman, Daily Mail, ABC, CNN, Yahoo and many more. Leslie Spurlock is truly gifted and talented at capturing events around the  globe and humanity through her lens and unique world of photojournalism.

Jennifer Panepinto is a visual artist. She has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator for the better part of the past two decades. Jennifer has worked for Fortune 500 companies and has also been an entrepreneur. Jennifer holds a BFA from Pratt Institute and an MFA from The School of Visual Arts. Jennifer has been following the NFT space for about a year, and started minting art in November of 2021.

Jennifer has always been compelled to create art. Her process is multidisciplinary, combining aspects of analog and digital processes.  Jennifer’s latest work is called Manifestations. It is created with polaroid instant film, unretouched, with the addition of animation to create an ethereal experience or custom colored gels that capture color on the instant film. Jennifer has suffered from mental health problems, anxiety and depression, and her work is about meditation, and redirection of negative thoughts to positive ones. Additionally, Jennifer is fascinated with the structure of our existence and like to bring this into her art. She is curious about space, metaphysics and consciousness. The dreamy nature of her work reflects these ideas. Jennifer’s Manifestation work is on 1st Dibs and Foundation.

Jeannine Chanin Penn is a Creative Director, Artist, Designer, Visual Thinker, Creative Problem Solver, NFT Artist and humanitarian.

Her career and life have always been centered in the space between design and art. Growing up in New Jersey, her creative philosophy was informed by time in NYC’s Soho galleries, the MOMA, Museum of Contemporary Crafts and anywhere else she could take in art and design. Jeannine has worked as a Creative Director, Graphic Designer, and Event Planner for various companies including: HBO, Grey Entertainment and TWBA/Chiat Day. She has received numerous awards throughout her design career. She is a board member of reDiscover Center, served for 10 years on the BDA/Promax board and is a strong believer in charitable giving.

She is currently a full time Creative Director by day and creative director, artist, and NFT enthusiast by night!

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son, giant puppy, cat and sometimes tortoise.

Eqqo is a a Collection of Quality and iconic Handrawn Randomly Generated Art of essence Created by Tayodamnshoes. Season 1 consists of 5,555 and is The 55th Ebabe in the EBABE collection and as Tayodamnshoes promised each ebabe is better than the last.

 ARTJEDI is a contemporary British visual artist, activist, curator and collector. 

Her art is an exploration, experimentation or a documentation as a witness of her time through multimedia, interdisciplinary art practice. Her artworks span across painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, 5D media & installations.  

She has lived, worked and travelled across much of Europe and the Middle East; Since 2008, ARTJEDI1 has exhibited nationally and internationally; a career spanning solo exhibitions in NYC and Bath, collaboration with Qatar/London based couture designer Toujouri, mentions in Elle, Grazia Brazil, Harper's Bazaar Arabia; Emerging artists exhibition, Castle Fine Art Galleries, Mayfair, London (Summer 2014); Group shows at Victoria Gallery, Bath (2014, 2015); shortlisted artist for Passion For Freedom Art Festival (2015)  Mall Galleries, London,  Shortlisted artist for Columbia Threadneedle Figurative Art Prize, London, (2015), South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts, Exeter (2015), Royal West Of England Academy (2016), Visions of Science, Edge Arts, Bath Spa University (2016) in addition to participating in many charity art events in the UK and undertaking private commissions and collaborations with architects on eminent projects. She founded The Artist Project Space (TAPS) 2017 and Kosar Contemporary 2018. ARTJEDI has curated several eminent exhibitions on both platforms including artists such as Bedwyr Williams, Holly Slingsby, etc.

ARTJEDI has been a prominent contributor to the NFT culture since February 2021 as a learner, educator, collector and a facilitator for providing an inclusive, diverse and equitable space.

Charmaine Hussain is a world-builder & lore-lover using stories to create an empathetic, inclusive metaverse. She brings 25 yrs of experience creating movements that matter for Fortune 500 brands, top 5 retailers, and global nonprofits. She’s worked with celebrities & been to the White House, but feels most at home in her magical world called The Enchanted Valley.

Creatress is a VR Performance artist at the intersection of virtual reality and fine art. Exploring feminine, indigenous and organic forms in an otherwise rigid ecosystem to bring representation and challenge the limits of our growing multiverse.

Ana Isabel is a self-taught Fine Art Portrait Photographer focused on supporting and empowering women. Her style is a colourful mixture between fantasy and fashion.

Alyssia is a wife, mother and artist. Her journey into motherhood has transformed her perspectives of life and creativity into ways she couldn’t have imagined. Alyssia hopes to share more of who she is by creating NFTs to share her stories, passions and beliefs.

Weinbagz is a musician/producer/keyboardist hailing from Portland, OR. He graduated from PSU with a bachelors in jazz performance with an emphasis on guitar. Since then he has been a gigging musician playing as a sideman for many acts in Portland and the surrounding area.

Having always had a deep fascination with using software such as logic and ableton, Weinbagz really started to focus his efforts on becoming a producer once covid hit and his been hitting the home studio every day since. He has ventured into the world of web3, but will also be doing his first traditional release late spring or summer 2022.

Iris Nevins is the co-founder and CEO of Umba Daima, a creative NFT Studio that is building a multi-cultural collaborative web3 community. Umba Daima builds out brands and programs to support its mission with Black NFT Art being its most popular project. Iris sees NFTs as a revolutionary tool for empowering under-resourced communities to generate wealth through ownership of IP and digital assets. Iris is a former teacher and community activist who eventually became a software engineer. She recently left her engineering management role at Vox Media to become the full time CEO of her own company.

CryptoPOM is a Chilean-Scottish freelance character artist and video game developer. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design, CryptoPOM successfully Kickstarted her own idea for a point-and-click adventure game. She've also done bouts of work in the field of art therapy with children with physical/mental developmental issues, and older people with Alzheimer's. Now, her big goals in the NFT scene involve helping to build a community where emerging artists can help find a comfortable home with the advice and support that they need.

My style is heavily influenced by graphic novel design and pop art, always revolving around portraiture-- I love creating narratives based around a character, and trying to explore either social and political themes using people as her focus.

As an Artist, Architect, and Athlete Alvaro Quispe uses his abilities to provoke the simple idea: nothing is impossible. As a 90s inner-city kid who grew up in the very heart of Toronto, Canada, his awareness and education to social, economic, and worldly issues was learned at a very early age, and as a result inspired a core belief in life: it’s not where you’re from, but where you want to go. Alvaro’s goal is to inspire not only inner city kids, but to one day pay it forward to his beloved cultural background of Peru; where to this day continues to remind him of true happiness and love.

Bárbara Méndez is a 2D artist and fashion designer.

Originally from Argentina, she has traveled for many years, living in countries like Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain. Watching and drawing people wherever she goes, playing with color and moods to tell all kinds of stories.

Supafray emerged from Oakland, California through explorations of the unknown. The project’s vibrant art aims to capture ideas and sensations that can’t be seen in the default reality. These creations stem from curiosity-soaked thoughts and expressions of emotions, intuition, outer space, the deep sea, and psychedelics. Through this process of creation and digital abstraction, Supafray hopes to spark inspiration and awe.

Art shown at NFT.NYC and has walked the runway at Sacramento Fashion Week.

Priyanka is a landscape and cityscape photographer from Ahmedabad, India. As a photographer, she strives to find a sense of peace and calm through photography and wishes that it is conveyed to those who view her work. 8 years ago, Priyanka decided to pursue her love for capturing timeless moments through a summer course in digital photography, against the golden sands of California. What she didn't know then, is how her life was about to change completely. She has, since then, left the world of engineering to fuel her passion as a professional photographer based in Ahmedabad, India. An expert at capturing the clamor and glamour of Indian weddings, her photography has also taken her across landscapes in search of beauty not just in people, but also in moments, buildings, and landscapes. Priyanka's aesthetic is best described as documentary with a splash of lifestyle and minimalism. She wishes to tell a story with each photo, whether it is about people, places, or abstract moods. She takes every opportunity to travel across the globe and record her travel experiences through a photo journey.

*Help-Portrait Ahmedabad*

Having captured magical moments as a wedding photographer for over 5 years, she also believes in doing good through photography, having given over 600 free portraits to lower-income families, as part of the Help-Portrait Ahmedabad initiative. With each photograph, Priyanka hopes to inspire, make someone happy and bring a small piece of her creative soul to life.

Ashira Siegel Fox is a multidisciplinary artist, primarily working in mixed media for the last two decades. Using her sewing machine and a scanner to create abstract drawings and collages made of hand dyed and painted papers, Ashira works to explore sometimes complicated relationships, mental health and tries to find balance between all the various worlds she straddles in her life.

Ashira first came across NFTs through Clubhouse last Feb. and dove down many NFT rabbit holes until finding herself not only creating her own mixed media art NFTs, but also helping to launch large NFT collections - including Robotos and Toy Boogers in 2021. She recently sold out her first 3 editions on KnownOrigin and currently has work on Foundation and OpenSea as well.

Ashira is mom to two small kids, a community builder wherever she is, an avid art collector of both physical and NFT art, and is helping to onboard every artist and developer friend she has to the possibilities of NFTs and web3.

Leonel Piccardo is a Photographer and Afro-Surrealist artist from the Dominican Republic based in the Netherlands.

As of 2021 Piccardo became known as GlitchOfMind in the NFT community and his work has been exhibited in  STRATOSPHERE, Beijing 2021, Bringing Worlds, LA, USA 2021, Sonsbeek x The BlackArchives 2021, OBA Amsterdam Zwarte Beweging, and others.

Anna Natter started to study art when she was 14 and is a classically trained art teacher. She is from Hungary, and she also lived in the Netherlands, Czech Republic and now in Germany. Anna is a mother of twins who will soon turn 8 years old. Her NFT journey started a year ago. She started on Fundation and then discovered Tezos and HEN. HEN was her most used platform this past year.

Daisa TJ is a visual creator and business owner from Brazil. A graduate of the prestigious UNISUL in Film and Audiovisual School, and a new artist. She left her full-time job to build her own path. With a specialty in Photography, she uses her experience as a Producer/Director to create media visual content. Combining her skills as a Photographer and Cinematographer, she began producing content ranging from short films to art pieces. She aims to find her voice through visual expression and possibly inspire new creators to start their own art style.

Dr. Lemny Perez was born in Harlem New York to Afro-Dominican parents. She stands out as a Clinical Psychologist, writer and NFT abstract artist. She is a curator on the http://NFT.Tips SearchLight team and an NFT Artist Trainer on the Dream Conduit. Her NFTs have been featured in Forbes magazine. Dr. Lemny lives in California.

Kokako Loon, Marcos Pelenur,  is trained as an electrical engineer but has worked across a range of industries - always keeping a bit of development in the background and a lot of time for his family. He is not an artist per se but loves the intersection between art and computer science, and I know is excited to be here to talk about the technical side to NFTs

Soo-Young, the brilliant mind behind Vizmesh, is a blockchain developer, university instructor and founder of Vizmesh (a decentralized NFT gallery and curation platform) who has organized physical NFT exhibitions and events in New York City to advance NFTs into the mainstream and support emerging artists in the space. His work explores the complex theme of experiencing NFTs both individually and socially across physical, augmented/virtual reality and digital installations.

Gabriel Guerra Bianchini (Havana, 1984), as a visual poet, slips around a powerful sensitivity that leads him to imagine new senses, and whose first virtue is expressed in overlapping the harshness of daily. Reality, according to his creed, deserves to be reinvented.
With more than thirty exhibitions throughout his career, such as "...Es la esperanza", the first outdoor exhibition at Havana Cathedral Square, in its 498 years of history; and "Utopia" the largest outdoor photographic exhibition held on the Paseo del Prado during the 13th Havana Biennial. Invited by SeeMe Community, he was present at The Armory Show and the Chashama Gala in Time Square on June 2018. Some of his pieces were also exhibited at MIA Photo Fair 2018 in Milan.
His photographs have been part of prestigious musician’s records such as Silvio Rodríguez, Leo Brouwer, Pablo Milanés, Francisco Céspedes and Harold López-Nussa. He has worked at international events like Rio Loco and Pause Guitare in France, Viva América in Spain and Cuba’s most important music events, including The Rolling Stone concert, Diplo & Major Lazer performance, Leo Brouwer’s Chamber Music Festival, Havana World Music, Jazz Plaza and many more.

Matias Espinosa is a mestizo motion designer and digital artist born and raised in Quito, Ecuador and currently living in Austin, Texas, USA. Inspired by psychedelia and glitch multimedia art as an aesthetic and as a tool to represent the spiritual dimensions accessible by consciousness. Mysticism meets computer graphics. His alter ego is @numbersaresigns

YO LAGARTO es el proyecto solista del venezolano Juan Manuel Fernández, a quien recordamos por haber sido líder de la banda Retrovyzor. Actualmente, busca ofrecer una experiencia más profunda para quienes disfrutan de su música, cargado de fusiones coloridas de jazz y hip hop, pero con una base sólida del rock. “Suave Baby” es un tema que cuenta una historia de amor contemporánea, en esta época en la que la identidad digital se encuentra cada vez más representativa que nuestra identidad "real".

Yo Lagarto se considera a sí mismo como un artista en búsqueda del arte descentralizado, por lo que se describe como “un fiel creyente de que el arte se colecciona y eso es lo que lo separa del entretenimiento casual. Por eso una colección de vinilos importa más que una playlist en Spotify. Hoy en día nadie es dueño de nada excepto las grandes disqueras y compañías de streaming”.

Black Dave is a multidisciplinary creative & music artist working at the intersection of anime, rap music & streetwear and sneaker culture, he's also a programmer and innovator on blockchain technology and during 2020 he created “a Beat a Day”!

Layla Pizarro is a multifaceted Artist based in Chile. Her practice bridges two distinct realms: figurative realism and non-representational abstraction. Her works are a reflection of her days and her experiences. Her artistic practice ranges from analog and digital painting to digital and experimental photography.

Layla is also a community builder who uses several platforms such as podcast and live conversations hosted in Twitter Space to showcase the story of artists from all backgrounds and educate the NFT community about art history.

She is the creator and co-host of Arte y Labia, with Barbara Quiroga a weekly podcast where together with Bárbara, they interview Chilean and international Spanish-speaking artists. She also co-hosts SOBRE ARTE on Twitter Spaces, a space dedicated to discussing art.

Sheila Darcey is a transformative innovator with more than 20 years’ work experience as a facilitator, coach, and consultant in sectors such as technology and digital agencies, this has given Sheila the opportunity to work with Fortune 500 companies, and other social impact projects such as the Compassion Prison Project.  Sheila holds a bachelor’s in fine arts, focusing her studies on Art History from the University of Memphis, and later obtained a certification in Social Emotional Arts from UCLA.

Sheila found in the act of daily sketching and freestyle-drawing an impactful way to therapeutically process what she was feeling, materializing her thoughts, emotions, and ideas as sketches.  This meditative and creative method helped her connect both her left and right brain hemispheres through the art creation process.  As a means to help others, Sheila founded Sketch Poetic, and created the “Sketch by Sketch - A Creative Patch to Emotional Healing & Transformation”. Sheila wants to share this mindfulness practice which allows anyone to process their own experiences with innovative approaches.  Her upcoming book will be available this coming December 2021.

Diana, Daniel and Jimena chat with Ana Maria Caballero about her entering the NFT space with her poetry. Ana Maria was born in Miami in 1981 but spent most of her childhood in Bogotá, Colombia. Her writing has appeared in numerous outlets, including the L.A. Review of Books, Tupelo Quarterly, Sundog Lit, The Southeast Review, SWWIM and Jai-Alai Magazine. She believes poems should be valued as works of art and is excited about making this value manifest via blockchain technology.
