Right to Repair
EPISODE NOTES
Deconstructing Design, where we take a deep dive into one specific, but important, aspect of product design, and look closer at its impact on our choices, our consumers, and on the environment. This episode focuses on adhesives and product repairability. What adhesives are, how their use became so prevalent, and how they impact our products' repairability. We look not just at the initial creation, sale, and use of the products we design, but at the full life cycle.
We also talk with two product experts; Mark Dezolt, Industrial Design graduate who has been working in product design for 10 years, and we learn all about the amazing world of Repair Cafes while talking to Bill Roberts, a retired electrical engineer & volunteer, who fixes broken products of all kinds for the public.
