In conversation with Sanjoy Ghose - as we unpack the Labor Codes passed in 2020, and future of labor rights.

In conversation with Mr. Sanjoy Ghose, who is a labor lawyer,  we discuss the impact of the Labor Codes that were introduced in 2020 by the BJP Government. Unceremoniously passed in the Rajya Sabha in the absence of the opposition, the Labor Codes have undone decades of Labor Law reforms.

From the impact of the pandemic on our labor laws, to the long term impact of the codes on worker rights, we unpack the entire corpus of these laws, and understand their significance. Tune into this episode to learn more about our Labor Laws, and where we stand vis-a-vis worker rights as a country. Mr. Ghose gives us a glimpse into his experiences as a practicing labor advocate, and so much more.

Don't shoot the messenger - The Life and Incarceration of Julian Assange, Founder of Wikileaks.

Don't shoot the messenger - The Life and Incarceration of Julian Assange, Founder of Wikileaks.

Hello everyone, today we chose to speak about Julian Assange, who is the founder of WikiLeaks. Assange has released more than 10 million confidential documents in the past decades, telling the world at large about the atrocities committed by some of the most powerful regimes in the world. As a result of this, Assange has also faced brutal vilification and incarceration under the most inhuman conditions in the past decade!

Currently lodged at Belmarsh Prison in England, Assange is facing the threat of extradition to the United States, where he might be imprisoned for 175 years or even get the death penalty. For WHAT? For defending democracy, and his right to freedom of press as a journalist?

We take a dive into his legacy, and what the future looks like for him.
