Restaurant Sector Update | Getting Through the Coronavirus Outbreak Together

Restaurant Sector Update | Getting Through the Coronavirus Outbreak Together

It is no question that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has crippled many businesses, while many more continue to hang on from day to day. With the Casual Dining sector virtually shut down and the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) on average down 30% on YOY sales, many landlords, franchisees, franchisors, and lenders are trying to find ways to work together to keep businesses open on the other side of the current crisis. With new changes happening by the minute, we hope to shed some real time light on the restaurant sector, it's players, and what to expect in the coming months. We covered various topics in this update including SBA/Stimulus package help for restaurants, some of the most recent restaurant announcements by concept including closures, furloughs, and permanent shut downs, landlord/tenant communication and working together to tackle rent abatement requests, capital market updates, and we also tried to show some light at the end of the tunnel by sharing some deal stories around clients, operators, and franchisees who are still active in finding opportunities for expansion even in today's current environment. At the end of the session, we also addressed a few  questions we fielded throughout the webcast. We understand this is a trying time for everyone and so we hope to be a continued resource for all of you as you work through the specifics of your own situation. Enjoy this replay and remember to stay safe!
