In this episode of our podcast I had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Nemati to talk about her project of testing aspheric surfaces with computer generated holograms, and the potential role of magnetic nanoparticles in cancer treatment. Dr. Zohre Nemati has acted as a research associate at various universities and organizations such as University of South Florida- Tampa, and Spain Ministry. Having her Master’s and Ph.D. in Applied Physics, she has published more than 20 papers to date. She has also served as a judge for various journals such as Journal of Electronic Materials (JEMS), Journal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices (JSAMD), and Journal of Materials Research (JMR).

Regulations, challenges, and career development within the food industry.

In this episode of our podcast I had the chance to talk with Dr. Schoenfuss. Dr. Schoenfuss is the faculty advisor for the Joseph J. Warthesen Food Processing Center, and the Associate Director of the Midwest Dairy Food Research Center. She also judges local and national dairy product contests, and coaches the collegiate dairy product evaluation contest team. With Dr. Schoenfuss we had the chance to speak about her career progression as a leader and expert within the dairy product industry, the evolution of dairy food industry, her regulations and challenges in running a lab, her expectations from lab members, and her advice to new students joining or graduating from the food science program.
