In this episode I share how I learned about the detox pathways (and that they must be cleansed in a specific order), and what happened when I did each cleanse. While this episode is long, cleansing the detox pathways - colon, kidney, liver and lymph, is very simple. It’s taking a certain amount of herbs, for a specific amount of days and all the while you get to eat and do whatever you want! My naturopath, Dr. Jen Stanley, is back to discuss natural ways to reduce allergy symptoms (why she uses quercetin supplements over quercetin in food), and, of course, how to get to the root cause. Dr. Jen shares her story of having severe cat allergies (without even seeing or touching a cat, she would need to leave the home), but how getting rid of parasites (doing the liver/parasite cleanse), enabled her to now live with cats and not deal with any allergies! We talk about foods that support the liver and help thin out the bile. Bile is what the liver “packs” toxins in so it can usher them out of the body. Truthfully, it’s allllll spiritual, but there is no “right” or “wrong”. There’s only more or less aligned. Either your more aligned with your soul and your evolution towards your highest expression, or your less aligned with what your soul is nudging you to let go of, embrace or shift into. We are all born intuitive. It is the voice of our soul and as we know, we are souls with a body, not a body with a soul and we didn’t come here to just pay bills and die! However, we are born on to a planet and into a world and culture that does not teach us how to connect with our intuition. While many of these tips or ideas for strengthening your intuition are very simple (journaling, limiting your use of electronics, eating high vibe foods, being in nature), the main goal is the same: creating a space for intuition to be heard. Once that is created - through diet/eating cleaner, meditating, journaling or going for a walk, intuition will start getting louder and easier to recognize. Receiving can be difficult because it means we need to be open - to trust because we don’t get to pick the who, when, where and how something is going to come through. However, giving is usually much easier for people. Why? Because giving implies a sense of control (which most people like!), as we get to pick the who, when, where and how something is going to come through. Giving is masculine energy and what our world promotes, encourages and celebrates. While receiving is feminine energy and can be harder to do. My naturopath, Dr. Jen Stanley, is back to share what she’s learned about COVID19. She shares which foods “dock” or attach to a cell so COVID19 can’t “dock” or attach (think garlic, shallots (specifically shallots!), onion, sprouts, leeks, bok choy, green tea and kale). She also discussed the 4 essential oils that kill air born viruses (to put in a diffuser or on a towel to diffuse while taking a shower), and other helpful tips. We also discuss low HCL (stomach acid), which naturally declines after 40, yet is essential to killing off bacteria (an overgrown of “bad bacteria” can burn and lead to heartburn or GERD) and more. Being positive is wonderful! Effective! Amazing, but the missing piece I didn’t integrate was never shifting, letting go or embracing a new, more aligned belief. Never taking any action steps - specifically in the mental arena, meant that things never changed in my life... and before I knew it, I was broke! In this episode I share examples of rising above gossip & complaining and how I decided to become the most positive person on the planet. Of course there is also a gentle, yet big reminder of how important “action steps” are — they are a key part to manifesting that often gets overlooked!
Ray Vlcek joins me for a special episode about healing with sound. More targeted than singing bowls & gongs, Ray muscles tests your body to identify which emotion is ready to be released (frustration, guilt - mine was “repression” and feeling more freedom and lightness in my life:). He also muscle tests to find out where your body would like the speakers placed (at your shoulders, chest, hips, knees, feet), and the length of time (usually 60-90 minutes depending on how “deep seated” the emotion is!). The amazing thing about this therapy is its lasting results — when I reach for that emotion, I can’t find it. It doesn’t bring me to tears! But the best news — this healing modality can be done remotely. What a wonderful thing to discover that can greatly move the needle on our healing journey!
