GUEST BIO

Alex started his career in the Mortgage industry. After moving to San Diego, he worked as a telemarketer at a large Mortgage company making about $300 per week. When he discovered the best opportunity for advancement was to become a Loan Officer, that is what he did. But he did not love the high-pressure work.

Although Alex carved out a niche for himself among Veterans, rose quickly through the ranks, and became one of the top producing Loan Officers in San Diego, it was digital marketing that really excited him. When Alex discovered he could target consumers directly using Google and Facebook Ads, he knew in his heart a full-scale digital marketing agency would be his legacy.

Alex went all in! He joined no less than 15 mastermind groups and after absorbing all the knowledge he could for five years, he then opened his own agency, BSM Vault.

GUEST BIO

I founded Social Republic, the global social media agency, in 2015 as a "new way", an alternative to traditional agencies.  My journey with social media started in 2006, studying at an American university where I became one of the first Britons to access Facebook.  Having led in-house marketing teams for eight years, I was frustrated by the lack of transparency offered by agencies, and handed in my resignation at a global finance company one fateful Friday. Monday arrived, and with nothing more than a plan and a list of names, inspired by a cold calling scene from Will Smith’s Pursuit of Happyness, I got to work.  As a result of my sacrifices and determination Social Republic now works with famous ambitious brands, and brands with ambition to be famous, including; eBay, Pioneer, Red Bull and The British Red Cross.  I’m a regular fundraiser, competing in charity boxing events, and recently summited Kilimanjaro, raising money to support school children in Kenya.  So anything: social media, starting a business with no money, marketing or charity 😊

#61: Get over your own Bullshit + Find opportunities you've been missing, with Jeff Harry

Are you making up excuses for not showing up online? Well, this episode will help you show up for your inbound marketing strategies that you want to implement this year.

This week, I interview Jeff Harry. He believes that adults need to rediscover their play. Don’t get put off by the word play. Play means discovering your creativity and following your curiosity to find new opportunities for your business.

Jeff provides:

  • Tools on how to get those creative juices flowing
  • How to never have a bad day again
  • Actionable advice to unleash your potential and
  • Actually show up in this world the way you were supposed to

If you keep catching yourself making up excuses as to why you can't create a video, or go Live on Instagram or write a blog every week, this episode will help you get over your own BS and find the opportunities you’ve been missing out on.

Guest Bio

Jeff Harry founded Rediscover Your Play, a consulting service helping people rediscover their play. He believes that giving people permission to be really silly helps them be more productive, learn faster, and love their work. Jeff has worked with Google, Microsoft, Adobe, The NFL, Amazon, and Facebook to infuse play in the corporate culture. He’s been featured in the New York Times, and on CNN to spread his message that adults need to unleash their inner child so we can identify new opportunities for our businesses and show up as our best selves.
