8 Tips on How to Market Your Podcast Better

8 Tips on How to Market Your Podcast Better

Okay. I admit it is more than 8 tips. But this episode was so easy to make. I was on a flow about podcasting as you can hear when you listen to me. I just loved sharing these tips to my fellow podcasters on how you can get yourself heard and seen !

It is half of the job to interview, or do a solo episode but the second part is harder to get your radio station been noticed among all the other radio stations. Because that what you have crated, your very own radio station that anyone can listen. If you podcast just for fun and you do not have any need or want to move the needle then move on. But If you are seriously thinking that you are not sure if this is for you, no one is listening you, where to even start marketing the podcast then listen on.

I cover social channels and how I have used and continue using them. I talk about how to leverage on the one episode over several media channels that can provide yourself traffic to your website and podcast and even to the product that you sell. I touch on re purposing your content, using other podcast as way to get yourself heard.

To know more you can jump into my website and get a cheat sheet that I have created just for you.

Where is Nordic Mum Heading Next?

Where is Nordic Mum Heading Next?

I have been recording this episode so many times that it is not funny anymore. Why it took me nearly 6 takes to record this episode? Well I was not sure that to talk about. Should I sum up the past 51 episodes? Should I talk about my learnings from my guests? Should I talk where I am heading next with this podcast?

I did bit of all of that. I wanted to tell you how my journey have evolved from that first time I sit down to record the episode. On how I see my future and where I can add value to you my listener. How every episode will have something extra coming out going forward. Yes my website will have this and all the other things I have created for you as well. I am writing checklists, e-books, guides you name it for you. The reason I am moving to different direction is that I felt it was a time to start talking about what this podcast is called for Nordic Mum. That is exactly what I am going to start have in my podcast, Scandinavian business women, mothers who have excellent themselves. Talking about Nordic Living, what is nordic lifestyle and how you can get some Hygge to your life from my podcast and downloads. While we wait for my website to be finished you can follow me on:

Making Social Impact Through Your Business by Liz Volpe

Making Social Impact Through Your Business by Liz Volpe

I had the pleasure talking to Liz Volpe about her journey on self discovery and purpose in business. Liz had carved a living running her successful marketing business however it was her trip to Cambodia that opened her eyes for children who were living in poverty and what could be done to help them.  Liz tapped in her  event and organizational skills on how to help these kids the best and Gen Z was created.

Liz started Gen Z, a social enterprise where she and team of people teach the kids in Cambodia about skills needed to start your own business. This program was launched on 2015 and have helped hundreds of children living in poverty up to date.  The workshops are now in 4th year and Liz and her team follow up on kids who have been through the education and see how they have transferred these skills to getting to university to study or have self sustained business that brings them income.

We talked about how today's world we have different jobs, roles that we might not realize we need to have when we leave school. This year Liz is busy talking in schools, launching a documentary  and she believes more passionate you are about your business and cause the bigger impact you can have.

Why Finnish Schools Are Different?

Why Finnish Schools Are Different?

This episode I have wanted to do for a long while. But I wanted to wait  until my son had finalized his first first year in school here in Australia. In this episode I talk about the differences about schools in Finland and in Australia. I talk about the age kids start, how long are their school weeks, do they get school work, what about teachers? How do you become a teacher in Finland, what is free in the Finnish school system (and there is few things that are ) and what I would hope Finnish schools would take on board from Australia.

I know that every country has their cultural beliefs and customs but I wanted to share to those mothers out there who are struggling to understand their local system and those who are just interested to hear how school is done in other countries how my home country Finland have set up the most amazing education system copied and talked around the globe.

I talk about

-What age kids start school

-Is there any homework for the kids?

-What is the concept of Finnish School?

-What makes Finnish Schools different to schools in Australia?

-Its all about the teachers
