Jennifer Carty and Charlotte Sweeney are members of the Colorado Women's Bar Association. The CWBA is the largest specialty bar association in Colorado and is one of the biggest and most influential women’s bar associations in the country. Their mission is to promote women in the legal profession and the interests of women generally. In 2019, the CWBA has prioritized equal pay as a key policy initiative and worked to introduce the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, generation defining legislation that will prevent pay disparities on the basis of sex, empowering us to GET OUR MONEY HONEYSSSSSSSS! Cara Rosenbaum is one of the den mothers and organizers of Dance Dance Party Party LA, an all-women freestyle dance party happening every Sunday afternoon with only three rules: No lights, No boys, No judgment. Women of all ages enter a dark room with a bunch of strangers, dance their asses off to a playlist compiled by our DJ of the week, and leave refreshed as friends. It's like reliving that late-night dance party from a sleep over you had when you were 10. Actor and Activist Blake Cooper Griffin
Blake Cooper Griffin is an acclaimed stage, screen and television actor who most recently starred in the 2018 CW Seed/ Blue Ribbon Entertainment reboot of Beerfest: Thirst for Victory. In addition to his acting career, Blake routinely lends his voice to progressive causes. Particularly passionate about healthcare, he’s given keynote speeches at several rallies promoting affordable healthcare and has penned op-eds for publications, including The Huffington Post. Blake is also passionate about eliminating bullying in schools and teamed up with NPR to create a ‘listening kit’ that examines the origins of bullying in depth.

Our Girl Kamala, Dems Taking Massive Action, and Game ON Douchelords. It’s been another fast and furious week with crap news. Pipe bombs (even to Robert DeNiro - come on man!), the US graciously agreeing not to shoot at the migrant caravan, transgender rights at risk, and worrying data about absentee ballots in California. Thankfully there is a beacon of hope in the midst of it all with Kamala Harris getting a rockstar welcome in Iowa and excellent projections in the polls for many key races across the country (go get it Stacey Abrams!!!) LOTS for us to be excited about but also LOTS of work still to be done.
