NBL: Nothing But Love is an LGBTQIA+ friendly podcast about the journey of a once-cis straight couple who have stayed together through their transition into Serenity (MTF) and Aaron (FTM). Topics include gender identity, sexuality, mental health, and the life and growth of these two as they go through the wonders and challenges of transitioning. Together.
Today's episode is about how we came out to our family and the positive and negative experiences we have had. This is an ongoing process as we do have some additional family that do not know about our gender identities, so likely we will provide updates as they come. That being said, we do deal with some homophobia, transphobia, and unsupportive family in today's episode. Serenity gets emotional and Aaron rants. And we all come out on top, together. We hope that you can glean some helpful information from today's podcast whether you are trans and thinking of coming out, or you have had a family member come out to you. Take care, and enjoy the episode!
When facing such a dramatic thing such as gender transition while married, there are inevitable challenges that are faced in that journey. In today's episode, we are going to talk all about how we, as a couple, faced and overcame those challenges, and the overall foundation of a healthy long-term relationship. We hope that some of the lessons that we have learned can be passed onto you as you build your relationships in your own lives!
In today's episode we talk about how our sexuality and how it has changed throughout our marriage and through our transition. This is the second part that details some of our background and history based off our life experiences and how we managed to navigate the vast dynamic changes in our relationship as we have grown together. I hope that y'all are able to see how having a dedicated, intimate relationship can withstand most challenges that a relationship can face! Shoutout to Kelsey Berner for Editing this episode!
Today's episode is an introduction as to who we are and what we've been through in brief. Aaron and Serenity have been married since December 18th 2011, and Serenity came out as transgender on April 19th 2019. This is the story (in brief) of them meeting, getting married, and them coming out to one another. I hope you all have as much fun as we did making it, and I hope y'all find some important lessons of a healthy relationship in it.
