This week, Jeanne asks Mia a series of questions related to work, life, perfectionism and overachieving to see if she hits any of the markers for high functioning anxiety (This does not qualify as a diagnosis). The girls talk about how high functioning anxiety is not typically recognized as a mental health diagnosis. It is catch-all term that refers to people who live with anxiety but identify as functioning reasonably well in different aspects of their life. The ladies express their outrage and disgust with the situation and this conversation goes on to explore the sexual assault of boys, the perpetuation of toxic masculinity and how hurt people and victims are likely to continue a pattern of abuse.
