New Jersey Democratic Senator Bob Menendez was indicted or charged on Friday September 22nd, 2023 with corruption offenses for the 2nd time in 10 years. Senator Menendez was indicted on allegations him & his wife accepted more than $600,000 in bribes from a group of New Jersey businessmen on behalf of interests in Egypt. The prosecutors have accused Bob Menendez & his wife Nadine Arslanian of taking in cash, gold bars, a luxury car & a mortgage on their home in return for helping the businessmen. As a result of the prosecutors investigation, the FBI found nearly $500,000 in cash & more than $100,00 in gold at Menendez's home in a raid last year apparently payment for the bribes.Since his indictment, nearly 2 dozen Senators have called on Menendez to resign from the United States Senate. In more troubling news in this scandal, Senator Bob Menendez has not resigned from the US Senate as a result of his indictment.

United States Senator Dianne Feinstein passed away or died on evening of September 28th, 2023. She was the first woman mayor of San Francisco, California, first woman to serve as president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the first female Senator from California, first female chair of Senate Rules & Intelligence committees, first woman to serve on Senate Judiciary Committee and the first woman to serve as the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Senator Dianne Feinstein was first elected to serve in the U.S. Senate chamber in 1992 or the "Year of the Woman". She served in the Senate for thirty one years. Senator Feinstein announced earlier this year that she would not run for another six year term in the U.S. Senate in 2024'. Her retirement announcement created a competitive Senate race to fill her Senate seat on November 5th, 2024. Now that she has passed away, California Governor Gavin Newsom has the responsibility to name an interim replacement for her Senate seat.

A grand jury in Georgia handed down an indictment to Former President Trump & 18 allies of his on-state charges coming from Trump's efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia. Trump surrendered to authorities at the Georgia Fulton County jail on Thursday August 24th, 2023. Trump and all 18 of his co-defendants had until noon on Friday August 25th, 2023 to turn themselves in at the Fulton County jail. Former President Donald Trump was indicted by a federal grand jury in special counsel Jack Smith's 2020 election interference probe on Tuesday August 1st, 2023. Whoever wins the White House in November of 2024 will be important because that person Republican or Democrat could nominate possibly two Supreme Court Justices during their presidential term. That is if Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito were to retire in the near future after the 2024 presidential election. If Democrats and Republican registered voters hear about these rumors, then voters should be more eager and ready to vote for their preferred 2024' Presidential candidate in next years presidential primaries in their home state. If I was a Republican or Democratic Presidential candidate, I would be talking to voters about what kind of Supreme Court justice I would nominate if given the chance. The stakes in the 2024' Presidential election are high since there's older justices on the high court of the United States that could retire in the near future.

Special counsel Jack Smith, has been in charge of coordinating federal investigations related to former president. Trump was indicted with federal charges relating to the Mar-a-lago classified documents investigation resulting out of Trump's FBI Mar-a-lago resort August 8th, 2022 raid. United States Senator Tim Scott announced on May 22nd, 2023 that he is running for President of the United States. Current United States President Joe Biden announced on April 25th, 2023 that he is running for re-election seek another four year term as President of the U.S. It is likely that the 2024' U.S. Presidential election could be another re-match between Biden & Trump. However, that could change depending on if a Republican Presidential Candidate beats Trump in the Presidential Primaries next year. There have been more Democrats and Republicans who recently announced their official Democratic or GOP Presidential bids such as RFK jr, Larry Elder, and Asa Hutchinson. On April 4th, 2023 Former President Trump had his arraignment in the Manhattan DA's office and a Manhattan courthouse building where he surrendered and was arrested. Trump pleaded not guilty to the 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the hush money scheme he was indicted for. He will be going to trial on December 4th, 2023 which is right before the Republican Presidential primaries start. These developments are the latest in Trump's latest legal battles after being indicted and having his arraignment on April 4th, 2023. In other political news President Biden recently told NBC News White House Correspondent Al Roker that he plans on running for re-election but says he will announce his re-election plans very soon. Why is President Biden delaying his official re-election announcement? Is it because he is trying to announce his plans for re-election for a second four year presidential term when the time is right? Or is Biden uncertain of when he should announce his re-election plans?

Former United States President Donald Trump was indicted by a Manhattan Grand jury on March 30th 2023. He was indicted because he was involved in a hush money scheme with adult film/porn star Stormy Daniels. This is a first time in American history ever that a United States President and a Former President has been indicted criminally. CNN says Trump is expected to appear in court for his arraignment this coming Tuesday afternoon. Trump's attorney also told CNN Trump will certainly voluntarily surrender to New York law enforcement and plans to file legal challenges. The Manhattan district attorney's office had been investigating Trump relating to his involvement with the hush money payment scheme involving Stormy Daniels dating back to the 2016' Presidential election. There will be more developments for this legal case for Trump this coming week as he is going to be arraigned in court in New York City.

Georgia's Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is leading a effort by House Republicans for a visit by supposedly any member of Congress who desires to see all of the jailed  January 6th 2021 Insurrection attack suspects in the Washington D.C. jail where the suspects who participated in the January 6th are being held. Since the House Republicans have full control of the House of Representatives chamber of Congress, they as in republicans should be prioritizing their time in the House with passing and enacting important pieces of legislation that will improve the lives of everyday Americans. Also, on March 6th, 2023 Tucker Carlson on Fox News Channel on his show Tucker Carlson Tonight showed never before seen surveillance footage from the January 6th, 2021 U.S. Capitol Insurrection and attack and not to anyone's surprise there's been a lot of pushback against Tucker Carlson.

Ohio's next Governor's race or aka Gubernatorial election is in 2026. Ohio is a very Republican controlled state from the Ohio general legislature to the Governor and Lieutenant Governor's office. Earlier this month a train derailment and chemical spill happened in the town of East Palestine, Ohio. This town is 50 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and about 21 miles south of Youngstown, Ohio. There are still more and more developments in this horrible event that recently happened. According to Cincinnati.com's The Enquirer  a eastbound Norfolk Southern Railway freight train derailed on a main track 1 in East palestine, Ohio on February 3rd, 2023.

Representative George Santos who is a member of the House of Representatives, and who represents New York's 3rd district is an embattled and frankly an embarrassment to the Republican Party as a brand has not resigned from Congress. Ever since he was elected to represent a New York District in the House chamber in November 2022, he has been caught lying about his personal and financial background. We have yet to see whether or not the House Ethics Committee will file a report from a investigation on Santos recommending he should or should not be charged for financial and other crimes.

Representative Kevin McCarthy (R. CA) was finally elected the new Speaker of the House in the House of Representatives chamber in the new 118th Congress. It took the House of Representatives fifteen ballots to nominate and elect a new Speaker of the House. This made history in American Politics.

Former United States national security advisor to Former President Donald Trump John Bolton is weighing whether he should run for President in 2024. If he were to run for the Republican Presidential nomination, would it be to stop Trump from returning to the Oval Office again? How would Bolton campaign as a new first time political candidate for President? In today's episode I have a friend of mine join me to talk and discuss about today's Georgia Senate Runoff election between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock. This 2022 Georgia Senate Runoff election is happening because neither candidate received fifty percent or more of the vote on November 8th, 2022. Candidates in the state of Georgia have to receive fifty percent and more of the vote tally in their race in order to avoid a runoff. Herschel Walker is the Republican Senate candidate, while the Democratic incumbent Senator of Georgia is Raphael Warnock. Raphael Warnock is looking to secure his first full six year term in the Senate after he won a two year term in the Senate back in 2020. My friend and I answer some of the questions that voters might be considering about this Georgia Senate election contest. All of this and more in this podcast episode. 

On November 15th, 2022 Former president Donald Trump made his official announcement that he is running for President in 2024. He has run for President two times previously in 2016' and 2020'. Is Trump a threat to Democracy and if so how do we stop him from winning the Presidency in 2024'. Trump is a very dangerous and uncontrollable person who may stop at nothing in politics if he wins the Presidency again for a second non consecutive term in 2024'. There are many followers and supporters of his who still believe every single thing that comes out of his mouth. Why does he want to become President of the United States again? We'll just have to see if Trump's presidential bid comes to a halt or stop early due to a criminal charge and indictment that could potentially happen. Today's House Speaker Nancy pelosi announced on November 17th, 2022 in a speech on the House of Representatives floor that she is not seeking re-election to a leadership role in the house chamber of Congress. She will be allowing a new generation of Democrats to lead the Democratic Representatives in the house chamber for future generations to come. Pelosi has served as House minority whip, House minority leader, and Speaker of the House in multiple non-consecutive terms when being serving as Speaker of the House. If anything, she has always been a force to wrecken with in politics metaphorically of course. She might eventually retire from Congress, therefore letting a new person represent her San Francisco House Congressional district. But that's not quite happening yet. Pelosi is a great highly respected figure of American Politics, even though she can be divisive to some in America.  

Well Election day in the United States of America happened on November 8th, 2022. We are still don't have a clear winner in the House of Representatives as Republicans are 9 or 10 House seats short of the 218 seat majority they need to win the majority of the House of Representatives in Congress. Democrats according to CNN Politics are poised to keep control of Senate no matter who wins the Georgia Senate runoff race. A lot of history was made during this year's midterm elections. Who won each U.S. Senate race that was up for grabs this year? How come Republicans in Congress did not have a Red wave or a Political Tsunami that was predicted to happen on November 8th, 2022 by Republicans? All of this and more in this podcast episode. 

Republican Senator Tom Cotton who represents Arkansas in the United States Senate  has decided early that he will not run for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2024'. He cites family concerns as his reasons behind his decision to not run in the next Presidential election. Senator Cotton is a courageous and brave person for delaying his presidential ambitions if he still has any. If he doesn't have future presidential ambitions I still think he is a smart man for not running for the GOP Presidential nomination in 2024. Former President Donald Trump announced on Monday November 7th, 2022 at a Dayton, Ohio rally for U.S. Senate Candidate J.D. Vance that Trump will be having a very big announcement on Tuesday November 15th, 2022 at his home in Florida. Will he announce he is running for President in 2024'? Or is he announcing he is stepping down from Politics all together? We will have to see and find out.
